Slow down cowboy. Budinger wasn't included in my capable defender list :p

You guys can attack me for not going along. That wont change my mind one bit until Morey pulls the trigger on the actual "so Called" trade thats supposed to make this tem better after this trade happens. Until it happens? This is all speculation and fatasy and Courtney Lee is your backup money dump you got for a starter. This may in fact actually be Moreys plans while others wildly speculate on bigger trades to come. Right here and now is the team and direction until that happens. So far going on many years now. First round exit.

If Budinger outplays Battier he will play more minutes, its that simple.

not a fan of the deal, but I understand why they did it.

Lee will provide us with a better three point shooter then Ariza I think. He was thrown in the starter role in NJ like Ariza here and told to go make it happened, they both struggled and are more role players then anything. just my opinion...

One thing I'm will worry about is rebounding as Ariza was a decent rebounder.

Ah, I think he is ok at it....not great but he showed a lot of improvement over the year....one more year with Shane or half a season if that is what it is can only help.

Battier's the starter at the three, I don't think there's any debating that.

If you are going to try to argue, at least try to do some research beforehand.

Sasha was a scrub and hardly contributed anything
to the Lakers, unless you think playing 8 minutes per game in the last 2 playoff and averaging 3 points is good.

Kwame Brown has never even won a championship.

    Please stop embarassing yourself.

I am just being more realistic than alot of people. This doesnt make us better. Its a salary dump. I am not speculating on some obscure future move and praising Morey for every single thing he does. I think my reality is more grounded than others.

Bud couldn't even dominate the summer league and he barely looked like Shane from a defensive end in the SL.

At least in his 1st SL, he did well, this year, he looked....not interested (exactly what experts where saying, lack of motivation to take that next step)

My opinion is that Morey doesn't think Ariza is a championship SF. This trade works for all of our goals.

For the right now, we save money and realistically are not changing out wins by very much by losing Ariza.

At the deadline we can make a move for a SF like Granger, Melo, ect.

We can also now pursue a FA with the cap space we will have.

If all those fail we still have the Knicks picks. All of the above mentioned options are either now easier or actually now possibly B/C Ariza is gone.

Morey has really diversified our options in this move.

agreed, also think the bit about martin training with lee and basically being an older brother figure to him is really gonna be valuable chemistry-wise.

Sometimes a good salary dump does make the team better, just not immediately.

Actually, eff that.. I guess that was just a pissed off reflex without really thinking. Ariza was great for this team, but I think Lee can be too.. all I really know about him is he's hard nosed, athletic and can shoot better than Ariza.. so far. I still think we shouldve seen Ariza play with yao first, but if there were locker room problems.. Lee is pretty good to get. Also, don't know if this was posted but Indy and Jersey will prolly surpass NY.. which means higher picks.

One question though, how is Lees defence, and how tall is he? Sorry I'm on my phone and its going too slow for me to run multiple windows and look it up.

Melo wants to play for NY, so you may as well scratch that off the list.

Indiana just got a PG who has shown flashes of being really decent, i highly doubt they get rid of Granger now.
