I really like our second unit now too, super run and gun. This years team defense will be great again too. Lee averages almost 2 steals a game too. Not to mention a MUCH higher steal to TO ratio than Ariza. Best of all he is a GREAT cutter.

Frankly, I don't think Ariza is mad about the situation or anything.

He signed with Houston because he was promised opportunity to grow his game, he got that opportunity in the form of shots and touches that became available because Yao was out and Ron was gone. The Rockets look deeper next year, due to the return of Yao, the acqusition of Miller and Martin, and the growth of some of the other young guys, and it looks like Ariza would lose some of the touches. The Rockets send him to a team where he probably will get more minutes and touches. I really don't think he would be upset by the news, but we'll see.

I am not a Ariza fan but?? We are talking about Courtney Lee from the worst team in almost league history. We are not talking about Courtney Lee the Championship team starter. We are talking about The NETS Courtney Lee. LOL!

    Smart man. This is happening.

Morey Knew we needed Defense ( you lose some w/o Ariza) and a legit back up SG.

My guess w/o Hill and before the deadline. Like, Before training camp.

I like the trade - comparable players - each can do some things the other can't but they are still comparable. So considering the flexibility this gives Morey to improve the team or save Les some money - however it turns out - is still positive.

I like Trevor and I like C Lee - this trade helps the Rockets overall in the end.

Thats exactly what im saying. A healthy Yao was dominant offensively and the vital cog in our defense. Our defense funnels players into the paint to meet Yao at the rim thats why our D was so bad last year. How can you say Yao is not a superstar? Portland had to gameplan specifically for him constantly sending double teams. Yao always attracts the attention of 2 defenders at all time.

His production is irreplacable to our team and a menace for others to guard. Okafor a player on the hornets has always been constantly beaten down by Yao.

On the other hand a superstar in Paul couldnt get his team to the playoffs two years ago. Paul, a superstar, had a promising rookie behind him who put up the same numbers a rookie CP3 did. Paul like Yao makes teams gameplan for him. Paul like Yao is the key piece to all of his teams plans. For you to argue and say that New Orleans is getting back there main key and not to admit that we are also is foolhardy.

Please stop and think some before posting, this makes ZERO sense unless the player had a severe injury or it's been several years in between.

You do realize that is the same player? He was traded for Vince Carter.

Titled: Trevor Ariza would really like the ball passed to him

I think Ariza will be happy with Paul.

The amazing thing is that the Pacers got Collison with the poison pill of Posey's contract for Troy Murphy. Collison averaged 18 points and 9 assists as a rookie starter.

I am all for giving Morey the benefit of the doubt, but there are questions about the thought process.
Morey must believe Lee is equal to or better than Ariza, if he doesn't have another trade lined up contingent on this one.
Otherwise he either made a mistake in signing Ariza in the first place, or in trading him now, which if you believe either then you can't use the "in Morey we Trust" blind faith arguement.

because he WASNT ON THE LAKERS. We also didnt aquire the Lakers Kevin Martin or the Lakers Yao ming. I see what you're trying to do, but it's not working, STOP.
