People that said this a horrible move do not understand Courtney lee.. High IQ and understands the game.. doesn't force the issue he can make plays.. Plays very solid D.. 3 point was shot 40% his rookie year with wight as center and 34% with new jersey.. with Yao coming back expect him to get better open looks than he did with Dwight.

The highest Trevor shot was 33 percent..

Once everybody calms down and takes a xanax we will be alright lol

That's a tough question. If Hill plays, it could be him. Battier is a possibility if his athleticism continues to deteriorate.

I also can't help but see this trade as a money play. Ariza was supposed to be worth his contract on defense alone, right? Apparently, Morey either thinks Lee is a star-in-the-making or he's unwinding a big-contract-mistake. I'm fine with correcting mistakes, but if they want to contend this season, I don't see how Lee gets us any closer than Ariza would have.

Finally, Carlos Lee will be doing something to help the city of Houston in sports.

It's on espn now, the headline saying it's to keep Chris Paul happy. Haha, good luck with that, Trevor isn't nearly as good enough to do that.

Another unintentional benefit for the Rox is that it makes Indy a playoff contender, hopefully knocking the Knicks out of the playoffs to increase the value of those picks. Just saying.

Lee adds to our foul-drawing M.O. Easier offense against a patchwork defense, and more rest for Yao.

did not read the whole thread, maybe some1 already mentioned this. Is this possible that Ariza is NOT happy about his future role? He would be the last option of the starting 5, he came here for a larger role than he had in the Lakers.

Agree that it will be great to have Battier back in the starting lineup. Ariza was not an upgrade over Battier and he was overpaid here. It's good to be out of that contract.

And if Lee turns out to be a solid contributor this trade may end up looking a lot like the one that basically amounted to Alston for Lowry.

Ariza, like Alston, is talented but he was a man without a country here. Addition by subtraction (both talent and money-wise) at worst.

It has to be just one move of many. Adding a CP3 to this lineup would be VERY interesting.
