$7m expiring. very useful at the deadline. simple

 

the only thing we downgraded in is length.. C lee is a more talented player

 

Bad trade. Do not want.

As much as we talk bad about Ariza, I still think he is a good player with length. And now that we have Martin, I think Ariza can play more comfortably at the 3.

I don't think we need a back up shooting guard THAT bad.

 

Ugh, just skimmed through the thread a bit more and it seems as if the trade is a done deal.

I hate it. Absolutely freakin' hate it. Maybe one more year and I would be far more willing to let go of Ariza, but right now I think it's a huge downgrade.

 

I hate this trade! Everytime we get a chance to put Battier on the bench we find a trade that makes him a starter. What is Battier doing to Daryl behind closed doors!

 

Only good thing about this is, it frees up Chase Budinger for big minutes. Lets see what he's got

 

I agree he was ok once he went into a familiar role, but we don't need him anymore we needed a backup SG, we have better options at SF already.

Trevor couldn't dribble but he was very effective when he was slashing to the basket and made passes. Ariza's passing ability was very, very underrated.

Ariza vs Budinger is always a fun debate. Both players are overvalued by on this BBS. Every player we have is, it is inevitable.

Remember how many people disliked the drafting of Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry? Remember the groans when Rafer was shipped out for Lowry?

This is how I feel now. If we trade ariza I want to be in a deal for someone a lot better, not c.lee.

Maybe Courtney LEE does have the potential to be better than Ariza?? I don't know much about him...but reading him being able to defend KOBE is pretty good. And he can shoot pretty good. By by doing this trade, we're looking to save more money to get a superstar?? And also Morey don't mind having Battier as a starter if Courtney are not bring it?? I don't know man....i just don't know much about Courtney LEE.

 

Wow, i'm pissed off, Ariza would have been great next to Yao.

 

Courtney Lee: 6'5, 200 pounds. Last season he averaged 12.5 points...3.5 rebounds...1.7 assists...1.3 steals

Good trade if it goes down. It gives us some playmaking/scoring off of the bench besides Lowry. Ariza/Battier/Budinger are redundant so it only makes sense to get rid of the one with the least attractive contract. Once Morey flips Jeffries/Battier into a star caliber SF everyone will forget that Ariza was on this team.

 

Are we really spinning this as anything more than a salary move?

 

This is the only way that this trade would benefit us.
