[BREAKING] School Shooting in Conn. at Elementary School

a sibling, likely the father, was found dead at a home, not known if it's also the home of the shooter..


Now they aren't even sure of the name SMH... shooter may have been carrying someone else's ID. Nothing officially released, so let's wait on official word

 

There are several factors, yes. Some can be controlled by gun regulation, some cannot. The ones that we can, we should. The ones we cannot (from your example, for instance), we should use other appropriate means to combat them (e.g. lifting people out of poverty, properly funding police forces, etc.).

 

I think that 2nd site is where shooters father was found dead, possibly New Jersey ?

 

They won't release victims names until all families have been notified, even then they'll probably wait even more.

 

If you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one wanted the debate to move to another thread.

Stop it. Quit making excuses to why you want to hijack a news thread with D&D debates about a TIRESOME argument that will never change anyone's mind...like it so freaking hard for you to use mulitple thread and forum technology.

why do you have to know their names for your thoughts and prayers to be with them?

 

Yeah I know. My point, and I should have just said it is that, here society and media is all about the name of the guys involved. Tweeting that is a big deal as it is uncovered. Then society going to people's Facebook and being so ****ing stupid as to not believe their might be two or more people with the same names, breeding more hate and stupidity.

Yet all we know of the victims are a number. How many.

No idea, just listening to CNN on Sirius as I had to quit watching the TV here at work. The pictures of the crying children and blood was way too much for me to handle.

 

Sounds like CNN/Fox's lawyers are trying to establish a defense. How could they identify a mother, father, girlfriend, sibling and then say the the shooter had a fake ID, but the dead father and sibling can't confirm the real ID.

You don't, but you it feels different. Reading the names and seeing the pictures at OKC memorial was very impactful.

 

The children are now in heaven I assume.

 

I think it's supposed to be comforting, that's all. At least that's how I took it.

 

Any word on why he chose the school? I thought his mom worked there? Or was it random?

 

The FBI will certainly be involved. No way this small town's police department or even the state police can handle it on their own.

His mother was a teacher there, and some of her students were the ones killed. My guess is he confronted his mom in her class room and shot some of the kids there too :-(
