I'm thinking this 2nd misidentified guy wasn't exposed by the media, but rather just the masses searching the internet. This 2nd dude (versus the one CNN/Fox misidentified) actually has several very depressing tweets, including "I wish the world would end in 2 weeks" refering to the apocalypse I suppose and then a "It's game day" today, but in the context of this massacre...it sounds crazy.

I'm sure every Ryan Lanza is having the same problem.

 

A lot of them already are. They have metal detector uniforms. You can be strip searched for any reason.

It should be mandatory everywhere and people should lose their jobs for not enforcing it.

I've worked with kids in different elem schools before. I wasn't employed by the school and rarely had problems entering without being questioned. Also, gates, that lead to playgrounds, are left open.

 

His girlfriend and friend are missing back home in NJ, his parents were divorced and he killed both of them as well. Keeps getting more disgusting. I cannot read or watch anymore.

 

I don't give a **** about the name of the suspects. Where's the list of names of the victims? Is that not where our attention, thoughts, and prayers should be right now? Law enforcement will handle the suspects and whatnot.

I haven't been able to follow this from the beginning as I've been in and out of meetings all day. I am watching the sheriff's press conference and he is referring to a "secondary crime scene" was there more than one mass shooting site?

 

So essentially your argument is that its other factors outside of limited access to guns that dictate crime??

 

I just heard it is 20 children, 6 adults at the main crime scene and one adult at the secondary. I am presuming that the main crime scene is the school and the secondary is where the shooter died.

You can keep harping on it all you want...I still won't care. But don't be surprised when people come into this thread and post about all the issues surrounding this. That's what typically happens in internet forums. News sites, however, are constantly updating....you guessed it....THE NEWS!

 

Where does he live? Why did he pick out this school again? And convincing his little brother to join is another question.

 

Supposedly at the home of the shooter's parents in New Jersey. Some reports say he killed his mother, who worked at the school, some say his little brother as well, some even said he killed his dad.

 

Oddly enough there is a D&D forum for your gun debate..... That is why this INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD is designed in such a way. So those of us who would like to discuss a topic or get news on a topic with out hot topic debates such as gun control polluting the thread can do so. Then when is if not today? Mourning and prayers aren't going to do anything to bring those kids back or stop some similar incidents in the future. This is not like a tornado or an earthquake or a house fire in the middle of the night. Our society has made a choice that guns are sacrosanct and we will, on average, suffer 2-3 mass killings per year as a result. By saying "today is not the day" you politicize the discussion in favor of gun violence. By running to familiar places like grieving and shock, we tacitly accept the consequences of the current gun laws in our country. By saying we shouldn't talk about the tragedy, we confirm the tragedy. Why do we continue to look at gun massacres as anything but the preventable issue they are? (I know you can never be 100% effective, but we have consistently made it easier for this kind of thing to happen instead of making it harder.) When did gun ownership pass from something involving recreation and hunting to something on par with religion?

This whole thing makes me sick. I'm leaving work early today so I can go pick my 5th grader up from school and just hang out. I'm sure she will have questions and I'm sure I won't be able to answer them all to her satisfaction.

 

He killed his father at home, and apparently his mother was a teacher at the school... guessing the class of kindergartners he shot? :-(

Also reports that his brother may have been in on it, as it seems they apprehended him in the woods dressed in camouflage.

Absolutely insane.
