What about the Colts' announcing plans to fire Pagano? I thought it was weird and incredibly BAD form on the part of the Indianapolis front office to express anything to the media about Pagano BEFORE the season ended, even though I know it has happened before. To top it off this was on NEW YEAR'S DAY! Happy New Year, Pagano family? Shoot, at least let that iSht marinate a bit. I thought that the year they had Crenell and a 10-7 was going to be the turn-around year for that franchise, but... they were back to the drawing board with a slew of injuries and just bad picks for 2008... can't help but to feel the same from a Texans fan's perspective.

Is anybody else a little shocked that Pagano might be on his way out? They were in the AFC Championship game just last year, and Luck was certainly not himself this season due to all the injuries. Also, more than Pagano, doesn't Grigson need to have his feet held to the fire? Their draft record is abysmal, and their free agent acquisitions aren't much better.
There is a huge disconnect between Pagano and Grigson and its basically been a relationship with irreconcilable differences for a while now. Let's also not forget Bruce Arians was really the architect behind their AFC title run. But I don't see why Grigson should be kept on. Drafting Phillip Dorsett with glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball was a huge mistake.

fubar. before coughlin got there it had been 20 years since they won a superbowl. He won them 2. It should buy you at least 7 more years after the last SB victory.

Pagano has a fighting chance. Correct. Wasn't he the oldest coach (before resigning)? Luck? A team can push another one around and control the game... but... why is it luck?

Ya there was a lot of finger pointing between Pagano and Grigson. Thought was that Grigson was really in Ersay's ear and was going to help him win it out over Pagano. But to me, there are a lot of problems with keeping your GM through a HC change (unless you have an Ozzie Newsome type GM). The personnel decisions have been plain bad in Indy.
Really? That sounds pretty dumb. Like the players will forget which stadium to go to or won't know the language of their new location, but since Jeff Fisher is there, he will help with his Rand McNally atlas and phrasebook. Or he can get them a sick deal with Mayflower Moving & Storage becuase he's a repeat customer.
