This is not our day. Someone said yesterday that C. Jones is crap at 3rd base, but that's not what hes showing..

Biggio is almost 40 years old and he's sliding headfirst into first base. That is guts. Say what you want about his dimished speed, inability to hit the slider away, etc, but you can tell he wants it. Have to respect that.

Yeah these guys all turn into Jim Edmonds on defense against the Astros. Brian Jordan only has one leg, but he timed his jump and caught Everett's shot to left yesterday.

I wish the players would realize that if they slide into first (unless it is to avoid a tag on a bad throw), they are slowing down. You never see a sprinter dive across the finish line. The only reason to ever slide into first (when you are not avoiding a tag) is if for some reason your stride is off.

One of the reasons he's probably my favorite player ever. I'll be making that trip to Cooperstown ...

Looking like a five game series to me. You don't win 14 division titles in a row without some guts. We need Roy to step up big next start. I don't see the Astros making this a ballgame.

Considering he hasn't pitched since Sunday and they have an off day tomorrow, he needs the work.

Are we going to have to score ten runs every game to win?

Roy's got to be on his game Saturday. Game 3 in a 5 game series is HUGE!

I just hope Sosa is rattled a bit with it being his first post season start, and maybe we can steal a few runs off him early.

Who was that player they showed on the bench after the final out with his head down praying? Not sure but it looked like either Berkman, Pettite, or Lamb.

Sosa has a better ERA than Roy for the season, and has been even better the last few months... and has been extremely consistent, never having an ERA over 3.00 for any month this season. Dude is really, really good. Except for a lack of experience and lack of name recognition, he's been their best starting pitcher both in ERA and win percentage.

Jorge Sosa is not Roy Oswalt's equal. Honestly, you disagree with that? On what planet would you trade Roy Oswalt for Jorge Sosa and say "eh, we came out even"?
