The Padres could be this year's Nuggets.

I am so glad we have the extra day off, we have 4 pitchers that can work on normal rest and not have to worry about short rest. I am ready to get this started.

That's quite the statement. Better than Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine in their primes? Regardless of where they stack up against past playoff trios, they're gonna be amazing to watch. I can't wait. Hopefully the offense will come through. The player I want to see take it up a notch is Lamb. The guy had a hell of a September after an awful year.

'Stros sweep. Most dominant 3-man rotation ever.

This is going to be rough. Stuck at work as are most of my buddies, we're relegated to watching the game via DVR and I have to somehow not hear the score. Normally, that wouldn't be hard, but they just installed a 50" plasma television just down the hall that's going to be where everyone gathers to watch the game. I'm also worried about stopping to get my beer/food beforehand.

The same person who hasn't told me when a game is, yet? :D Or the same coach who scheduled practice at that time? ;)

    Are you recording the game?

I am not worried about the starting pitching, I am worried about our ability to score runs.

So often this year we wasted good pitching efforts by Roy, Rocket, and Andy by simply not scoring any runs.

They probably led the league in no decisions.....once it gets to a bullpen vs bullpen scenario it is a complete toss up.

Don't want to be a wet blanket, and I think sweep, but the stros offense HAS to show up.

I totally agree with DaDakota, I'm more nervous for our offense to show up. But, I like Biggio getting it started. If we can knock out Hudson, that'd be huge!

I think the kids can practice soccer on their own, the Astros come first! "Here kids, I want you to juggle to 200 with your left foot. When you've done it, give me a call. I'll be at home. Now Go!"

    :D

I'll be leaving work at lunchtime to get home for the game. Hope they don't have too many day games or I am going to be out of vacation! Oh well, my family will understand why I can't come home to visit for the holidays :D

    GO STROS!!!!
