Garner was doing that the last week of the season... I thought it would continue here also. My guess is that Everett has no clue what to do in the 8th hole (but, its not like he has much of a clue other times as well... but at least he made good contact yesterday).

    Curveball goes 12 to 6, Slider goes 12 to 7 or if you're Brad Lidge 12-8:30 :)

Smoltz is good... Everett is not so good.

Its a mis-match... even if Everett has the approach of Tony Gwynn.

Biggio really needed that after looking totally lost on his first at bat. Nice work Craig.

The fact that we're hitting Smoltz's fastball bodes very well for us. That's his "neutralizing" pitch that makes the breaking stuff so effective...

Looks like Smoltz is on his game tonight....don't be surprised if 1 run is all the Astros get. I hope his shoulder falls off....

Wow ... chipper's made 2 barehand plays on Willy.

I'll take it from willy in that situation ... Chippers not going to make that play every time.

Uhh, have you not seen all of the contact they are getting off of him? He mowed down our 7-9 batters, but he is supposed to. The rest of the lineup has done pretty damned well putting the ball in play.

Compared to Tim Hudson, Smoltz looks amazing. But, compared to typical playoff-John Smoltz, he doesn't have all his stuff.

His breaking stuff is still moving, but his fastball has topped out at 94mph... and we have all our hits off that pitch.

I'm not saying he's pitching in his 90's form....I'm just saying that I have a bad feeling about this game.

I'm telling you, the Jones' are the only guys in this lineup that worry me.
