Take out the NJ reference and I feel quite confident that I am not, nor ever have been, a douchebag.

I'll assume this means something totally different now than it did when I was in high school.

Probably called "wannabes" during my time, also. :D

Achilleus, I think the name implies something that women discard after use, sir.

I sort of agree with this.. I have dated more than one... and one did have a bicep band tattoo of a Celtic symbol (I have no idea what it actually meant but it was a neat design)

So I figured that counted. ;)

But I too saw the light and redeemed myself... of course it took me a bit to realize the second non-tattooed douchebag was in fact of the douchebag ranks.

I consider myself fully educated in the douchebag department now.

Meggo, you are redeemed.. don't allow a past douchebag to decrease your self confidence level. I refuse to believe we are in any way douchebag like because we were foolish enough to date one...or two... temporarily!

    ;)

Thank you! The vote of confidence I was looking for.

So Hayesfan and I vote E: We are women who once dated a douchebag but have seen the light. :D

In the forever legendary faos thread (hot chicks with douchebags), I said that a douchebag is best described by his motive and not his clothing.
To me, a douche is a self centered jerk that shows no respect to others.

And though I've paid 120 dollars for some nike-dunk shoes circa ferris bueller 1986, to wear with my gray suit and black dress shirt, I've never been a jerk to someone that didn't deserve it.

I answered yes, but based on this list, I'll change to no. I'm certainly not a DB now, but I was a cocky b*stard when I was single. If anything, I was a geek in disguise.

The only things I've ever done on this list are:

Spikey hair- not full on porcupine, though. It was just my style.
Shirtless Shirt- but it was in Galveston, in the summer. It's so casual here, and freaking hot.
The lips thing- I've done it as a joke. Does that count?

No, you've got a free pass on that one, only because it was a joke. Had you been serious, you would have been a douchebag. :D

According to the definitions of douchebag, I am dating a douchebag.

My bf is in a fraternity and that doesn't make him a douchebag. He doesn't do all other "douchebag" things.

    I love douchebags!

I don't think some of you guys really understood what I meant when I posted that list. It's a list of things that you might commonly find on or about a douchebag. Since I haven't done those things, the result is a lower probability that I'm a douche. However, having done one/any of those things doesn't necessarily mean that someone is a douche...but I would say that it's more likely.

Maybe I was too specific with the John Deere hat comment, but I was really referring to trucker hats in general. Again, if you've worn one that doesn't mean you're a douchebag...it just increases your chances.

I am very confused by this thread, so I think I'm too old to be one.

I've done none of the things on the list except maybe spiky hair (big spikes) in the early 1980's...
