I just got home from the gym and I just can't get used to seeing these guys wear hats when they work out. Some even wear hats while they are playing basketball.

This really irks me for some reason.

And please don't say it's because they want to keep the sweat out of their eyes. All the guys I see that wear hats are lifting weights and they keep it so cold in the damn gym that none of them break a sweat. If you are playing ball, wear a damn headband or use your shirt/towel to wipe your sweat.

Stay away from guys that play basketball and wear hats unless you want to be hustled.

Maybe they're bald or going bald, in a public place where hot chicks could be watching, some guys get self conscious of the grass dying out on the lawn

now if they turn it backwards that is irritating

I've seen some guys ball with sunglasses on, what's up with that?

This can't possibly be true -- I would immediately rag on anyone I saw doing this at my gym.

We played bball with some guys at a park on san felipe. they wore backwards hats and one even had sunglasses on. i figured they were frat brothers. one had greek letters on his shirt.

    I kept thinking: doooooouches.

Maybe my eyes are sensitive to the sun and I have long hair.

WOW. I CAN'T wear a hat when I play ball; it gets in the way. And since I'm short, 5'9", it blocked my view of the bucket.

I wear a cap when I don't feel like combing my hair (whatever little I have left) since I am working out or playing ball. But I guess it does have a little to do with the fact that I'm going bald.

This sounds like all the old farts that write in to the Dallas Morning News to complain about the way Tony Romo wears his cap on the sidelines.
It's personal preference, don't let it bother you.

Really is no excuse to wear a hat when playing basketball. I still don't get why baseball players MUST wear a hat.

I really don't get the hate for cap/backwards cap/sunglasses. I don't do it, but don't give a crap if others do. For bball anyway.

I would probly do it if I could get away with it, but nope. I sweat like a pig after 15 minutes of play and sweat through anything. Bands are useless. A cap would probably help but it would end up smelling like ****. And I'm not going to carry a freaking towel to the bball court, lol. So I've just gotten used to sweat running into my eyes.

Glasses would be cool when I'm playing outside in the bright ass sun, but um, I'm usually throwing my body around and there is no way they would stay on.

But I would really love to be able to play with a toothpick in my mouth.
