I posted an article about the media reporting economic news that heavily biases the wealthy. It's a bit elitist to claim the economy is doing better while people are getting debased of their money, risk eviction if government mandated forbearance ends, can't purchase assets that rose to unaffordable levels, and have solid paying jobs turn into unreliable gig work. Numbers can be juiced, but the money for checks has to come from somewhere. The underreporting is close to gaslighting in the sense that people know the situation is BS but can't figure it out. They're just told to spend more and work harder. So they cling on to conspiracy theories or simple narratives Newsmax or OANN peddles to give them a better semblance of control (outrage and anger at The Establishment). We havent given a **** to flyovers since the Rust Belt and the GFC held many proud workers underwater. It was only when Trump won, outlets started digging into their plight, but now that Trump is expelled...business as ****ing usual for the economy? I was vocal about the pettiness of factions egging on Trump's spiteful ways, but pretending those Americans dont exist or taking them out of the conversation only causes sharper swings on the pendulum.
give specific eg talk about bias! bias on ur part prompts you to be conveniently dismissive of a tool from the Fed's economic tool box to accelerate economic growth. many workers who work for cos that export products overseas, such as Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, Catapillar, Starbucks, KFC, McDonalds, Deere, Harley Davidson, Archer Daniels, CocaCola, etc, benefit from the Fed-induced liquidity. these workers far out-number those who had their solid paying jobs turned into unreliable gig work.
