Amaré pulls out of Olympics

    The last USA Basketball qualifying team was a world class wrecking crew. Amare was a big part of that cuz he DID perform well. He was probably the only power forward that played with them so this will somewhat impact the team. Though USA has a wealth of secondary options.

    Its just sickening the athletic difference between Dwight Howard and the opponent frontcourt players. Expect him and Lebron to beast it up big in the Olympics.

    They were killed in 06 Worlds by the Baby Shaq of Greece. Nobody could guard him, Howard included. Of course it could be different now, but don't take it for granted.

    I'd say the exact opposite. Of course he wants to play for USA, but he values his club over his own desires.

    I think a good passing center wouldn't make that much of a difference in the overall results of USA clobbering the competition. I don't blame Amare for wanting to stay healthy for a decent period of time rather than jumping right back into action.
