    Guys these polls are coming out with 10-20% of precincts reporting, you cant judge anything right now.

    Exactly... the early results are often a matter of which counties reported first.

    In addition to Northern Virginia, the population center of Indianpolis (Marion County), IN, has only reported a small portion of the votes, too. It's not like the earliest counted votes are porportional geographically.

    why am i thinking obama is going to win even bigger than most people thought in the electoral count? i haven't even been paying attention really to which battlegrounds are supposed to go to who, but ti just seems like he's going to surge to victory.

    Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, DC and Illinois called for Obama.

    Tennessee and Oklahoma called for McCain.

    Kerry carried all of those states. Gore won all of those state except New Hampshire.
