What is John King going to do after election season? He won't be able to play with his cool toys anymore.

Obama's margin, shown as the difference between the final poll results (i'm assuming RCP average) and the first exit polls. the chart's from Wonkette.

again- take exits with a major dose of salt, particularly given the large # of early votes this year. unless those are somehow factored in, these can be highly, highly misleading.

but i still read this as good news.

Supposedly they're having strategists appearing through holograms tonight.

Less than 1% of precincts reporting in Indiana but Obama is up 56% to 43%.

The official "exit poll" data includes early voters (they do telephone surveys or something). But yeah, I have no idea if these numbers would or not, or if they would be demographically adjusted.

    Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire goingOBAMA

    Kentucky going McCain

Again only 1%. This will be a long night.

    Last act of desperation:

McCain robocalls to Latino voters in Florida telling them that Obama is going to be like Fidel Castro, and if they don't want America to be like Cuba, they need to rush out and vote for McCain before it's too late.

mccain's campaign has been an absolute disgrace. i can't believe how much he has changed (i really liked the guy before). this is another low the republicans have gone in terms of fear tactics.

Yeah it's not like there'll be weapon wielding thugs at the voting booths scaring people into voting for Obama or anything...

I hope you are kidding. Castro? If that's true, and it's not a PAC, then John has truly become the Rock Bottom Kid. :(

But anyway, I've been predicting FLA for McCain/Palin for a while.

Unless CNN is making it up, it's true. I saw the same report and they played it with a translation at the bottom. On the level.

It was from McCain-Palin. Castro had some complimentary words for Obama and they spun it to make it sound like and endorsement (which it wasn't). Here's the transcript:

"This just in! I’m calling on behalf of John McCain to tell you that at 1:28 PM today, the independent news agency Reuters reported that Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, endorsed Democrat Barack Obama as QUOTE "more intelligent AND CULTURED" than John McCain, the same as Huge Chavez, Daniel Ortega and Eva Morales. The Castro brothers prefer Barack Obama. Don’t give Castro what he wants. Get to the polls now to vote for John McCain and stop Cuban-like policies in America. There are still a few hours left to vote today for John McCain. This call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008."
