They really looked gassed in the 4th, it felt like they were down by more when Nash hit that 3 but no. Man what a beautiful game! Though yeah that foul on Harris looked like bs. :D

    G-g-go Suns!

In 2003-04 (full year of Nelson), they were 27th in opponent FG %.

    In 05-06, they were 10th.

What numbers are you referring to that "prove it"?

He was the #5 pick in 2004, was a stud at Wisconsin and showed some flashes last year before Mike James embarrased him in the playoffs. He's missed a few games this year but his improvement from last year is huge. I've said all along this guy can be a star. For now, I'll back off the claim the Mavs can afford to let Jason Terry go. Maybe; maybe not. Next year, he should be at least equal to Terry.

That was the easiest 121 points I have ever seen. Suns just dunked and layed up their way through that game.

I am surprised it was close at all.

    Mavs are in serious trouble.

Why will the Suns have a "REF escort to the finals"? Is everything a conspiracy with you?

They were better last year (mostly Nelson) than this year.
They were better in 2002/03 than this year.

Don't be fooled by raw numbers.

Steve Nash...Just WOW! What can you say about that guy? What a freakin' great player! Breaking Dallas' heart once more (remember last year, Mavs fans?) :D

Can't help but root for the Suns, man Nash is great! He further displayed why he was the MVP...man oh man what a finish!

Nothing would be greater for me than watching Dallas beat the Spurs (thereby ending their run for consecutive championships) and then have the likable Suns team (meaning with no Amare playing) beat the Mavs...that would almost make up for the Rockets' horrible season.

    Goooo Suns!

They also went from a 0.509 rebounding % to 0.523 (3rd in the league).

man **** diaw. how is this guy the second coming of mj all of a sudden? he had virtually no baskets given to him by nash in this game and yet scored 30 something points including hitting the game winner like it was nothing. nobody can stop him when he posts up, he hits jumpers, and is a great passer. how in the hell could the hawks not find a place for him? i guess b/c they're the hawks, but damn. this guy is not a nash creation, he's just damn ****ing good and playing out of his mind in the playoffs (is he up for a contract any time soon?).

and nash definitely wasn't an illusion down the stretch. huge 3, crazy luck shot high off the glass, another 3 that didn't touch anything, the pass on the pnr for the win. his first mvp type finish/will his team to a win type finish in these playoffs that i've seen.

and this suns team is like the '95 rockets or something. is there any doubting they're a team of destiny? boris diaw tearing people up, raja bell hitting 3's like reggie millers, buzzer beater after buzzer beater to save games or win them, raja bell goes down and nothing matters, they come from down 9 with 3 minutes to go. bell, barbosa, thomas, diaw all playing about 2 levels better than they are the entire playoffs. if they somehow win the title i will have to light myself on fire.

and could dallas try any harder to lose this game? giving nash a 3 for no reason. letting stackhouse and griffin take big shots (and blowing them), harris somehow getting called for that offensive foul (nash bowls him over, block on harris, nash reaches in and harris' arm grazes nash's, offensive foul on harris, that's about a 9.5 on the superstar calls list). i know they beat the spurs for me, but if the mavs let the suns slip by, i will hate them more than ever.

We almost got Diaw for Nachbar last year. :(

SamFisher - Agree completely on Dallas defense. They laud Devin Harris, and he may eventually be a good defender - but, uh, Luther Head lit Harris up. The best to me are those who were saying Dirk has become a competent defensive player - he gets by entirely by usually forcing the other team to put in a defensive "stopper" on him who's a complete liability or one dimensional offensively (see Bowen, Ryan or Bruce). Duncan abused him anytime he guarded him. Phoenix abused him with the PnR with Nash and Diaw all night, until the 2nd to last play, where they abused him with Nash and Marion. Hell, we've now seen Tony Parker and Steve Nash post him up!

At least Dirk is now dominating the offensive boards - considering he's the only 7 footer on the floor, he should.

How many overtimes would it take a Pistons/Heat game to get to 120 points?

Yup. Looked that way to me, too. Used his left foot as his pivot foot on his drop step around Stack. Finished the pivot/drop step, landing on both feet, then picked up his left foot and replanted it to gather himself for the shot.

Will the refs ever have the sac to call a travel on a last second shot in these playoffs?

LOL! Man, you're the most pathetic poster I have ever seen! Still hurt about Nash and co whopping your Lakers? What a fu**ing sore loser

Get over it boy! This Suns team has no one that I hate, but I hate the entire roster of the Dallas Mavpricks and the entire city of Fallas.

So not only are you a Lakers fan, but you're also a Mavs lover? You should be banned from this site forever!

i know nash was killing people down the stretch, but you've often mentioned how surprising the suns were this year and credited nash. but look no further than diaw. nash is pretty much still being nash from last year, but diaw is 10x better than anyone thought. nash is not making him better. he's had triple doubles w/o nash playing the game, he put up 30+ tonight almost all in iso situations. he's a great passer. his improvement (or actual usage i guess), is the biggest reason they did so much better than expected. he was just killing every mav that guarded him tonight and hit the game winner like it was the middle of the 2nd quarter. this guy is so good and versatile, and it's not because of nash.

now throw nash and marion in with him and you've got a damn formidable team, especially when guys like bell and thomas are hitting everything. all that said, they're still threatening to become the worst team ever to make the finals from a real conference (i.e. not the east from 2000-2004). unless the mavs figure something out quick, they won't win this series (even if they were up 9 with 3 minutes left) b/c the suns are always going to him just enough shots and make just enough plays.

If you're going to be picky, believe me the non-calls by FAR favored the Mavs over the Suns the entire game (the no flagrants, the offensive fouls, the non-fouls on Flopitzki, etc.)

The Suns wouldn't have needed Nash's heroics if the game was called fairly throughout.

The Suns won fair and square, and I couldn't be happier about it.

A little off topic but how can you hate this suns team? The Mavs are the root of all evil the only thing evil enough to make me want the spurs to win something.
