The whole x player is the franchise guy threads are annoying.

If any of you guys participate in that nonsense, it is distasteful to read. I skip them all, and I tend to avoid the GARM.

Why don’t y’all do an everything encompassing x player or y player thread. Without the whole team x player sucks or I’m a groupie for only this player, blah blah blah. After the Diddy stuff came out, I know now, that you can be a groupie regardless of your gender. So groupie fans of said player, don’t lose hope.

But being serious, That nonsense doesn’t go on in the Astros thread or the Texans threads, it’s particular to the bread and butter of Clutchfans, the Rockets. Please feel free to start threads to discuss players, but this bull that I hate Green or I’m on team Amen, or other serendipity success by the player you hitched your wagon to, mind you as a fan… Well it’s trivial and beneath what Rocket fans stood for in yesteryears. The Yao only fans educated you new generation of Rocket fans - and I’m disappointed the old 99’ers that follow suit.

But why get so caught up with player x or player y is my guy? Did you guys buy stock in that guy, do you have vested interest? Personally I’m still waiting for some of the players to take the bull by the horn and establish themselves as core components of the team. Sometimes Green looks like he’s about to take the next step, other times it seems Whitmore is a can’t miss star, there have been instances where Jabari looks unstoppable, let’s not forget about Sengun. But so far they all leave a lot to be desired for spans at a time.

This is a pivotal point for the development of the team. The coaches have tools to measure the intangibles of the players on their team. They are best suited to place each player in a position to succeed. If they trade them, well obviously the data indicates that’s best for the team.

But let’s stop this whole blah blah is the franchise player. After all this is a Rockets fan site. Intelligently lay out your point why you think a player will be elite; instead of talking about your feelings about your guy, then trying to impose your creepy feelings for said player, meanwhile disparaging other Rockets players.

Let’s root for the Rockets together and make this the red rowdies all over again!!!

 

my bad I tried to edit the title, and somehow I duplicated it. I asked clutch for help. I’m actually embarrassed I wrote stupid, because I think annoying is more accurate.

but maybe I’m an old timer and the new generation of Rocket fan is more player oriented instead of team success focused.
