You know damn well his daughter and her husband were part of the coup. Hell, Ivanka was tied to Daddy"s hip. She knew. They all knew. Ivanka was Daddy's princess She wanted to keep her throne as much as he did. They all stood their smiling and watching on their TV screens when the insurrection started. I don't doubt for a second though that Ivanka will turn on Daddy if it helps her. She's a chip off the old block.

 

Ivanka Trump in testimony to the committee had already gone against what her father has said, that the election was stolen. That does contradict some other comments she’s made but in those comments she wasn’t giving deposition under oath.

 

Was it the capitol police that advocated seizing voting machines? Was it the capitol police that released individuals phone numbers and personal information to the public? Was it the capitol police that wanted to replace the AG with a person who'd never tried a criminal case because he was willing to send the election fraud cases forward even though they knew for a fact that it was false? Was it the capitol police that planned ahead of time where to breach the capitol building and station themselves in those spots ahead of time? Was it the capitol police who were told that the mob was going to kill Pence, and responded by saying Pence deserved it even though they knew there was no mass fraud?

Definitely there were some capitol police that rolled over. There were many more that acted to save lives including the life of VP Pence.

 

Not that I’ve seen publicly but I haven’t seen or read every hearing.

I would like to see the committee investigate the actions of the Capitol PD particularly reports that some LEO might’ve been aiding the rioters.

That so much of the opposition towards the committee has turned on things like the committee makeup shows how overwhelming the evidence the committee is putting forward.

Further the statements in evidence aren't primarily coming from critics of Trump but from people who have supported him, campaigned for him, or were in his administration.

Most surprising and refreshing is that the committee is mostly allowing the witnesses to speak and elaborate and not just using their questioning time to give their own speeches.

The committee has done an outstanding job in its presentation.

Their focus and keeping things on track is very difficult in any circumstance. That is especially true when Trump himself says so many crazy untrue things, that it would be very easy to be distracted and go after those and lose focus.

I think that's one of the things Democrats in the political realm haven't been able to do they always chase the next crazy thing Trump says and forget about the many that came before. This committee has a laser focus and is keeping things on track.

Somehow I seriously doubt that will ever happen because facts would probably be uncomfortable at best. I’d lay a lot of money that the same corrupt Republican traitors who conspired with trump were working over law enforcement to let folks in.

His aides and GOP lawmakers were so terrified of him that they allowed him to push our democracy to the breaking point, something that left our republic rather brittle. Aides championed a blueprint that would have destroyed our democracy. No one seems the slightest bit sorry.

Being inept at breaking the law is not an affirmative defense. A felony is still a felony, even if you are really bad at crime.
