I think he is asking what was it about game2 that made it a bad game.

Because just based on the criteria you listed above Green exceeded that.

    The turnovers weren’t good.
He needs to get stronger and clean some things up defensively.

But if that was considered a “bad” then what would have made it a good game? Or just an average game?

The bad: turnovers, defense, and bad shots.
The god: his catch-and-shoot and going to the FT line.
I feel the former outweighed (is that word?) the latter, and overall I didn't like his performance.

I talked more about Green here and here, but I thought this post that I quoted earlier made better points and was far more eloquent.

I'd be happy to continue the discussion--I like talking basketball--but I feel that my first go at it was disrupted by someone who seems to think I have nefarious intentions, and I'm more worried about it happening again and being labeled as a "Green Hater".

Not going to call you a Green hater, but I still don't see how you can say its a bad game. What were his bad shots? Most of his turnovers were caused by being double and triple teamed. He only had 1 TO in 2nd half. He was about to adjust to the double/triple teaming pressure and passed the ball out to his teammates. I thought he played pretty decent defense (especially considering that is one of his weakness.) He was caught ball watching and if he was playing in the NBA against a competent team, the person he was defending would've cut to the basket for an easy deuce. Other than that and a gamble or two for the steal, he stayed on his man pretty well. His willingness to try to play defense was huge. I can't call it a bad game when he showed that he improved on his weaknesses as the game went on while scoring 25 pts on 11 shots.

Rockets don't build just a team. Rockets are building a culture. These guys are having fun.

Funny to see people being so critical of 19 yr olds in their first two summer league games after only 4 practices together. Gheez. No training camps, no defined roles, no playing with more experienced players to help lead them, and still people want to pick them apart and point out everything they need to improve on NOW! Have you guys ever heard of player development? Sorry, but these guys are not Kareem, Magic and Bird who came in just ready to win at a high level. Sorry, they are not built like that. I love the talent and drive they are showing already. The details in their games will come over time with practice and experience in the league. Relax and enjoy, we are on our way with these guys.

I was a bit reckless in my wording--I really mean "bad shooting mechanics", but even that is too uncharitable.
I felt that his release was a bit low and sometimes (not always) too slow, which was maybe part of the reason he was blocked a few times I felt. I'm worried his shot is a bit easier to block than it should be.
There was a few YT videos floating around here earlier explaining why those could be the case, though I feel like his shot has evolved since.
I don't want it to make it seem I'm too down on his shot, my main concern was the thumb flick, and most of his airballs were short, not wide (except for one in game 1 where he stepped back to the right where he is less comfortable).

He only had 1 TO in the 2nd half, but his worst play (I thought) was just not a TO by sheer luck--a really bad decision in fast break. I think his handle needs work, but he wouldn't be the first SG with that problem coming in (e.g. Booker, Beal). It's already a bit better than what I saw from G-League highlights

I really felt his defense has been below average (or just bad, frankly) in these games. But I don't think it has been worse than expected, since he was sold pretty low here. Feel like we switched him out of Cade pretty quick after he got bodied, but he'll get stronger. Still, he needs to do a better job on these, and a good part of this is coachable. I wouldn't really say he has shown any improvement, but it's two games, it's really hard to draw a trend line.

Green slowed down after the first quarter which reduced his turnovers but his decisions were too slow (and his passes not crisp) which gave up advantages that the best players in the league capitalize on. He’ll need outlier progression on that front to be an elite playmaker.

I hope that happens but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I love KJM, but he bites on every pump fake, cuz he just wants that killer block. I don't even know if I want him to stop though.
His shot has improved so much.

When I saw this on Twitter, the first thing I thought was that Kareem's Sky Hook has evolved into the Space Hook. lol. Nice to see he's having fun. :D

Mike Schmitz is the best NBA guy by far on ESPN. Im not just saying that because he's been complimentary towards Rockets either. He just offers genuinely insightful well thought out and researched analysis

Mobley is clearly very talented. First move was a nice faceup jumpshot. Nothing ever since.... Which is my problem with him

Sengun finds a lot of opportunitys to contribute which i dont see with Mobley.
