Pau's primary targets seem to be portland and SA. But yeah I agree why not atleast mske some sort of push for him. However I do believe he has little to no interest in coming here at the end of the day
I guess I missed one! However, I think he will eventually stay in Portland. I was mostly focused on players we have a good chance at.
I was right. Half of the list was missing. Here's the other half: Ray McCallum - PG - Memphis Andre Miller - PG - San Antono Mike Miller - SF - Denver Nazr Mohammed - C - OKC Eric Moreland - PF/C - Sacramento Donatas Motiejunas - PF/C - Houston Xavier Munford - SG - Memphis Mike Muscala - PF - Atlanta Gary Neal - SG - Washington Andrew Nicholson - PF - Orlando Steve Novak - SF - Milwaukee Dirk Nowitzki - PF - Dallas Zaza Pachulia - PF - Dallas Kendrick Perkins - C - New Orleans Miles Plumlee - C - Milwaukee Dwight Powell - PF - Dallas Phil Pressey - PG - Phoenix Ronnie Price - PG/SG - Phoenix Pablo Prigioni - PF - LAC Tayshaun Prince - SF/PF - Minnesota Willie Reed - PF - Brooklyn Austin Rivers - PG - LAC Brian Roberts - PG - Portland Thomas Robinson - PF - Brooklyn Rajon Rondo - PG - Sacramento Damjan Rudez - SF - Minnesota Brandon Rush - SG - Golden State Robert Sacre - C - LAL Luis Scola - PF - Toronto Kevin Seraphin - PF - New York Ramon Sessions - PG - Washington Henry Sims - PF/C - Brooklyn Donald Sloan - PG/SG - Brooklyn Jason Smith - C - Orlando Josh Smith - PF - Houston JR Smith - SG - Cleveland Marreese Speights - PF/C - Golden State Lance Stephenson - SG - Memphis Amare Stoudemire - PF/C - Miami Jared Sullinger - PF - Boston Mirza Teletovic - SF/PF - Phoenix Garrett Temple - SG - Washington Jason Terry - PG/SG - Houston Lance Thomas - PF - New York Hollis Thompson - SG - Philadelphia Jason Thompson - PF/C - Toronto Marcus Thornton - SG - Washington Anthony Tolliver - PF - Detroit Evan Turner - SG - Boston Beno Udrih - PG - Miami Anderson Varejao - C - Golden State Greivis Vasquez - PG - Milwaukee Charlie Villanueva - PF - Dallas Sasha Vujavic - SG - New York Dwyane Wade - SG - Miami Dion Waiters - SG - OKC David West - PF - San Antonio Deron Williams - PG - Dallas Derrick Williams - SF - New York Marvin Williams - SF/PF - Charlotte Christian Wood - PF - Philadelphia Dorell Wright - SF - Miami Tyler Zeller - C - Boston My apologies if any of these guys have signed somewhere already. I tried to take off the ones I knew had definitely been reported as off the market.
Dudley has signed in phoenix. I see that Dwight Powell kid is available. He made the rockets look silly in every game vs dallas last season
Here's the list from the previous poster with the additional non-fringe guys added in. I didn't color code because by the end of the list there were just too many guys who belonged in too many color categories. But it gives you a better idea of the sheer amount of talent still left out there in free agency. Centers Cole Aldrich • C • Los Angeles Clippers Chris Andersen • PF/C • Memphis Grizzlies Bismack Biyombo • PF/C • Toronto Raptors Tarik Black • PF/C • Los Angeles Lakers Festus Ezeli • C • Golden State Warriors Pau Gasol • PF/C • Chicago Bulls Roy Hibbert • C • Los Angeles Lakers Al Horford • C • Atlanta Hawks Ian Mahinmi • C • Indiana Pacers Boban Marjanovic • C • San Antonio Spurs Nazr Mohammed - C - OKC Zaza Pachulia - C - Dallas Kendrick Perkins - C - New Orleans Miles Plumlee - C - Milwaukee Robert Sacre - C - LAL Jason Smith - C - Orlando Jason Thompson - PF/C - Toronto Anderson Varejao - C - Golden State Tyler Zeller - C - Boston PFs Ryan Anderson • PF • New Orleans Pelicans Brandon Bass • PF • Los Angeles Lakers Trevor Booker • PF • Utah Jazz Meyers Leonard • PF/C • Portland Trail Blazers Jon Leuer • PF • Phoenix Suns Donatas Motiejunas - PF - Houston Dirk Nowitzki - PF - Dallas Tayshaun Prince - SF/PF - Minnesota Thomas Robinson - PF - Brooklyn Luis Scola - PF - Toronto Kevin Seraphin - PF - New York Josh Smith - PF - Houston Marreese Speights - PF/C - Golden State Amare Stoudemire - PF/C - Miami Jared Sullinger - PF - Boston Anthony Tolliver - PF - Detroit Charlie Villanueva - PF - Dallas David West - PF - San Antonio SFs Harrison Barnes • SF • Golden State Warriors Matt Barnes • SF • Memphis Grizzlies Chris Copeland • SF • Milwaukee Bucks Luol Deng • SF • Miami Heat Maurice Harkless • SF • Portland Trail Blazers Mike Miller - SF - Denver Steve Novak - SF - Milwaukee Mirza Teletovic - SF/PF - Phoenix Marvin Williams - SF/PF - Charlotte Derrick Williams - SF - New York Dorell Wright - SF - Miami SGs Leandro Barbosa • SG • Golden State Warriors Allen Crabbe • SG • Portland Trail Blazers Jamal Crawford • SG • Los Angeles Clippers Randy Foye • SG • Oklahoma City Thunder Eric Gordon • SG • New Orleans Pelicans Gary Neal - SG - Washington Ronnie Price - PG/SG - Phoenix Brandon Rush - SG - Golden State JR Smith - SG - Cleveland Lance Stephenson - SG - Memphis Jason Terry - PG/SG - Houston Marcus Thornton - SG - Washington Evan Turner - SG - Boston Sasha Vucavic - SG - New York Dwyane Wade - SG - Miami Dion Waiters - SG - OKC PGs Steve Blake • PG • Detroit Pistons Aaron Brooks • PG • Chicago Bulls Isaiah Canaan • PG • Philadelphia 76ers Mario Chalmers • PG • Memphis Grizzlies Norris Cole • PG • New Orleans Pelicans Allen Crabbe - SG - Portland Seth Curry • PG • Sacramento Kings Raymond Felton • PG • Dallas Mavericks Langston Galloway • PG • New York Knicks Brandon Jennings • PG • Orlando Magic Andre Miller - PG - San Antonio Pablo Prigioni - PG - LAC Austin Rivers - PG - LAC Brian Roberts - PG - Portland Rajon Rondo - PG - Sacramento Ramon Sessions - PG - Washington Beno Udrih - PG - Miami Greivis Vasquez - PG - Milwaukee Deron Williams - PG - Dallas
IMO, players worth chasing: Aaron Afllalo Eric Gordon Dirk Nowitzki Jarrad Sullinger Ryan Anderson Al Horford Alan Crabbe DMo Seth Curry Isaiah Cannon Marvin Williams
I'm just now realizing Afflalo wasn't on my list, but he certainly should have been. This is a solid list, but other guys they should be seriously looking at: Ryan Anderson Marvin Williams Zaza Pachulia Pau Gasol Mirza Teletovic Derrick Williams (could be had for cheap and could fit in MDA's offense) JR Smith Lance Stephenson (on a short, reasonable contract) Beno Udrih Greivis Vasquez Deron Williams
Mirza agreed to terms with the Bucks I heard an interview on the Fan in Dallas a couple of months ago that made me think Zaza may not play next season in the NBA, not confirmed though
When we strike out on Harford, I'd like to see the Rockets invest in up and coming players, obviously we tried for Bazemore and failed, but I like the idea of Allen Crabbe and Seth Curry. This team needs youth and shooting and these two are definitely capable. At the very least we can force the other teams to overpay to match.
Jarrod Uthoff for 2 years $3 million with team option on year 3 is better value than anybody on that list.
Dude.... I know you love this guy, but I think you're a little too on board with this. Are you Jarrod Uthoff? Are you related to Jarrod Uthoff? The guy went undrafted for a reason, and it's rare that undrafted players go on to be quality NBA rotational players.
I am just waiting for the Pelicans to give former Rocket Jason Collier a 3 year 50 million dollar deal.
This year is going to be a wash, why not throw a one year max contract at Gasol. He would be the best big man available after Horford. We need to spend the money only tie us up for one year. He has the best skill set of any big men left on the board. However, Dantoni benched him for some scrub at the 4 position.
If he would actually consider playing under D'Antoni again, I'd be all for it. But I think they just clashed too much, and I can't imagine a scenario where he would come back here. I love the idea, though. Morey has always coveted Gasol, and I think he'd be a great fit with Harden.
D'Antoni managed to piss off all the Lakers big men while he was there. Gasol ain't coming here. Jordan Hill ain't coming here. Howard wasn't coming back. No former Lakers big man (under Mike) is coming here. Won't even take the phone call. Spoiler However, maybe you could get Bob Sacre.
