I think Harford is injury prone now. All he does is stay hurt.

BTW the quote says Atlanta want to move Al to 4 and add Asik, not trade him for Asik.

Did you even read the quote you posted? Atlanta wants to keep Horford and ADD Asik.

If we could get Horford for Asik and then move Horford along with picks to Minny for Love....that would work. But I don't want Horford if he isn't tradable.

And I'm going to keep repeating it until somebody tells it can't be done. But my sources are telling me that the Rockets can advance Lin's salary (with his agreement of course) before Nov. 15th. If they can advance Lin $4.1 million or possibly even $7.5 million (50% of either his cap hit or what he actually is owed) then that makes a tremendous difference in trading Lin...as long as the Rockets are willing to eat that much salary.

25% on july 1, a further 25% on october 1 are the earliest. No idea how Lin would feel about it, Asik would welcome it

We need more. A trade for Millsap would prevent us from adding a significant free agent this offseason. We also create one hole by opening another, ie backup center, which is very important to this team right now. I might do it if they include that draft and stash center they took last year.

Millsap would be the significant addition, not a free agent. We're not going to get Millsap and 'Melo/Love/etc. It's one or the other. I can't think of a more even trade than Asik for Millsap that benefits both teams. If anything, we would have to sweeten the pot a little due to the money Asik is owed.

Give me Millsap all day for Asik, and find a back up center in the D league. Hold the other players accountable for keeping their man away from the rim. This team relies too much on D12 and Omer to cover their defensive lapses.

PLAY SOME D ON CONSISTENT BASIS! Defense wins championships not this analytical don't shoot long 2's. Parket killed Portland shooting mid range jumpers, consistent baskets demoralizes a team.

Hell, I was touting the Asik-for-Millsap stuff as early as last summer. I'd even put on my tin foil hat saying, "It's almost as if Atlanta signed Millsap with a wink-and-nod to Morey, keeping Asik trade in mind" (not actually believing it, but it just made too much sense).

Atlanta did show interest at the 2013 trade deadline for Asik, but that was for Josh Smith, and Ferry wanted Parsons, too (insert Wayne's World: "tch-YEAH! AS IF!")

Some form of Asik + Tjones for Millsap + 2014 #15 draft pick? With sweetener on whatever side (money to help offset Asik's salary)?

I agree with you Rox. I remember the end of last off-season while everyone was concentrating on Howard, I saw an interview with Milsap where he said no one had talked to him yet...not even the Jazz. I wish we could of made him an offer instead of Atlanta. Most on this board said he was trash or fool's gold at best, funny how being named an All-Star changes everyone's mind. Milsap has been playing on a consistently high level for years.

The little quote isn't saying Milsap either, its saying create space for Anthony, as in get nothing except possibly draft picks and cap room in return. Meaning a third team would need to be involved.

Gotta disagree there.....Asik is a top 5 NBA center (at 8 million against the cap)....and the contract becomes expiring.
