I'd take his defense all day, offense is just an added bonus. Lovington!!!!

I thought Covington was brought in because he was a better shot blocker and post defender than Capela. Capela isn't even a starter since he left Houston. You make yourself silly comparing a All NBA level guy to Capela. You would do better to compare him to Caboclo, who has also played way better than Capela since the trade. Capela couldn't even get on the court for an under .300 team and you think he would've helped in the playoffs. :p

    I like RoCo.

He's not here to be a knockdown shooter.

I think it is too early to judge him in his first year.

After all, he is a very good help defender and 36% career shooter.

Duncan Robinson is the best shooter as far as non stars go, right now with 44.7% followed by Seth Curry.

I bet they were taken right off the bat.

He owned Gobert twice and made KAT his b****. His Achilles heel was always the Warriors. So the 1 year we don’t have to deal with the Warriors we get rid of Capela. The premise of my thread isn’t so much about Capela anyways as it’s my beef with playing small ball with the wrong personnel thus in turn negatively impacting Covington’s shooting as well as PJ’s and Harden and Ego and so on.

Making guys play out of position has had a negative trickle down effect. I’m not dwelling on Capela.... he gone. It sure would be nice to have him while letting RoCo play his natural 3 spot though.

It was clear they went micro ball for Westbrook only.

It's not working as well without him.

Doubt they have a plan B and plan C.

This layup or 3 ish is really stupid and the ratio of 60% of 3s and 40% layups.

The most stupid thing is half of the NBA is following suit, lol......Brickhouse after brickhouse.

Fun for players, borderline unwatchable when shooting bad for the masses.

Since we traded for Covington here are our top 2 rotation players in net rating

    Harden +6.3
    Covington +5.2

In the bubble here are our top 2 rotation players in net rating

    Harden +10.2
    Covington +7.3

Im still amazed that fans of THIS franchise still rely so heavily on regular box score numbers to evaluate players.

Covington has been great despite his **** shooting.

He shoots the 3 better than Capela. And that's what they wanted. So...

His defense is great. But his shooting has to be 34%+ minimum for us to have a chance in this playoffs.

And Chris Paul is going to slow it the hell down come playoffs so I doubt we will get as many shot attempts as we are used to.

Yeah, hell really froze over when we traded for Westbrick. We had to scramble everything and the mad scientist D’Antoni had to make the best out of a terrible situation. Thanks Tilman.

I understand you are a hater. You are openly hostile to Harden and MDA and Morey and this team overall.

I get it, you have bought into the media narrative that the team plays loser ball, ugly ball, fill in the blank.

Hate all you want but educate yourself.

Robert GLOVington is +7 on the court in the bubble even when his 3ball has slumped below his normal average.

Why is RoCo such a net positive?

Perhaps because he leads NBA in Deflections, 3rd in Steals (Harden is 1st) and averages more than 2 blocks (better than AD, Gobert, KAT, etc).

I highly recommend this article, it is extremely comprehensive about how this team has evolved into what it is now and how are players fit in.

And since you believe that negative stimuli motivates you to do better.

F OFF WITH THIS IGNORANT SHYTE BEFORE WE ARE MARCHING OFF TO BATTLE YOU UNAPPRECIATIVE LOW IQ TROLLING MFer!!!!!!

I was shocked at the trade and then I liked it a lot. We were definitely not going to beat the LA teams as constructed with Clint.

But make no mistake, we would stand a MUCH better chance against OKC with Clint than Covington, now that Russ is hurt. Let’s give Clint credit where credit is due, he absolutely tore apart Rudy twice and KAT in the playoffs. He was useless against the Warriors, and Covington would have given us a much better chance in those series, but now it seems like all the moves we made, while justified and I agree with them, will backfire.

5 Out works for Harden too.

    Borderline unwatchable???

What are you watching, the ball movement is what you crybabies have been clamoring for.

Just because 3's are not falling does not mean system is to fault.

Is this what you say when Bucks 3's are not falling, that they are unwatchable?

    Or the Lakers?

If any team is unwatchable it has been LAL, the narrative MVP's team.
