MCW was on Philly when MDA was there as an offensive consultant so there's some familiarity. MCW wasn't brought here to shoot or score but rebound, distribute/run PNR, and play switching defense. I thought this could have been a sneaky good signing if he could produce for like 15 MPG, but MCW has sucked across the board.
Let's hope Gary Clark does not do too many of these... Fatty Felton was calling for ISO on Melo hahaha... Just hold onto the sweet memories of that one game.. Still butthurt that a nobody rookie got Melo kicked out of the team lulz..
And Luc would still be hurt. And Ariza would still be on his steep decline. And the Rockets would likely still be struggling. But look on the bright side, the owner would fire you for spending all of his money on garbage.
Moreys been sitting behind his computer all offseason. Stats, stats, all about stats. I suggest he starts trying to find players with heart. Because heart seems to be the only thing that could save us now.
Morey is not solely to blame, it’s also Fertitta, MDA, CP3, injuries. Surely Morey and Fertitta realise the Warriors are hard to catch due to their team and how the referees handled the WCF. You’re very naive if you actually think they believe the team at the start of the season was as good as last year and are not thinking long term. It was bluffing, though partially hoping Melo would be a difference maker. Morey even admitted this by saying he cares about the team when the playoffs start and it’s not a finished product. He knows he has work to do though that doesn’t excuse the signing of nobodies and saying someone needs to outplay their contract. Championship teams don’t bank on that! The one failure during Morey’s tenure has been to find enough solid 3pt shooters and bench players for our system. Green bleeds Houston, but is no dependable bench player. MCW is a joke. Ennis is okay. Knight is a nobody. That doesn’t even come close to a championship roster or even contending. Morey has done enough in the past, but he has to come out at some point with his big mouth and admit failure! Look at our bench, it’s literally nothing.
The big problem is that Morey has become an absolutely mediocre GM, with pathetic decisions. Of course he is not the only responsible, but he is the main responsible. Paul's contract, Anthony's failed experiment, the arrival of MCW ... and only Morey does not understand that we have the worst bench in the NBA. Too many mistakes, too many.
What was the cost of melo or MCW? Virtually nothing. Paul’s contract + Capela’s contract together are fine. We went over the cap to sign paul. You don’t seem like you understand what you are talking about. You are just confused and lashing out.

Some of the blame has to be directed to Tilman as well. You can’t come into this league penny pinching. Seems to me like Tilman didn’t want to spend too much money and told DM to go out and find players on the cheap to replace LRMM and Ariza. However, DM should’ve been smart enough to NOT give MCW that contract. You don’t give a guy who can’t shoot and has a very low basketball IQ $1.5 million. I much rather have had Nick Young on this team who’s still a FA and a Rocket killer! You also have Corey Brewer jobless who can knock down a 3 much better than MCW. You also give Melo a contract hoping he would mesh well with the team and take a lesser role. The dude wouldn’t take one in OKC why would he take one in HOU who is playing horrible right now. And then you sign Ennis (who I too had high hopes for) to replace 1 of our glue guys, a very important piece, the guy who kept everything together in a Ariza. What MCW, Ennis, and Melo got this off season combined for about what LRMM got from LA. I’m not saying LRMM was the answer but dude would help right now. If I’m DM instead of posting dumbass videos of him at college games i would be working the phones like a mad man. Because the only players that should be on this team IMO are Harden Paul Capela Tucker Clark House (he’s going to be good) Everyone else should be on the block.
