damn. oblique issues can be super annoying (to players and fans) and last a long time. Really hope it's mild
Musgrove is so polarizing. He's basically like prime Bud Norris right now. Some nights, he pitches like a good 2/great 3, other nights, he pitches like a long-reliever. I think I read that he added a pitch his last start? Hopefully that's made all the difference.
He should've been pulled before the 7th or after Profar walked. Another close game incoming. These injuries keep piling up. When it rains, it pours...
Then pen has been getting absolutely demolished with short starts constantly. There's not a single innings-eater right now. That lack of rest kills. Up by 4 and with him pitching well, it was worth a shot.
You're right,. And I thought about that same thing but with a day off tomorrow, I think it kinda changes things. Plus Musgrove was over 100 pitches by that point and he most likely wasn't going to finish the inning anyways.
Yea even with the expanded pen, it's been worn out lately Doubt Giles is available tonight after pitching multiple innings Monday and pitching again last night
Damn. Just got home and turned the game on to hear the news about the injuries. That sucks... There's what, 18 games left in the season ? See those guys next season...
The baseball gods have spoken and have declared that Astros fans must suffer just a liiiitttllle bit longer. Hope Bregman and Altuve are ok.
God forbid this game goes extras. Get an insurance run and Greg can close out the bottom of the Rangers' order.
