This is not a 80 win team, so no one should be too surprised at the recent downturn. Several weeks of good or bad play isn't long enough to draw conclusions from. This is still a 60 or 70 win team. Better than the last 3 years to be sure, but still not competitive viewed broadly in terms of the season as a whole.

I would not be sure about the 80 win team. Probably don't make it, but pitching staff is much better than expected (even if McHugh is figment of the imagination) for a team picked to win around 65.
I'm not sure if Altuve's been hitting at the same pace that he did when he was in Lancaster 3 years ago, but sheesh.
Quirky stat. As of this moment on the box score. It reads that Cosart has the same ERA as David Price. Both at 3.81.
Atta boy Cosart, finish in style. Best start of the season. He's not striking out many people, but he's not walking people either right now.
He'll be starting.

Jake Buchanan coming up to make Major League debut on Saturday.
— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) June 21, 2014

Porter said he wanted to give Peacock more time after he struggled with food poisoning. This might be Buchanan's one cup of coffee. His future with the Astros at best is a bullpen arm, but since the Astros are so crowded with pitching prospects in AAA this might be Buchanan's one shot.
Astros got a much needed win. Springer really connected on his HR, massive shot! The biggest story was Cosart's pitching... he shut Tampa down. Glad he pitched deep into the game dropping his ERA below 4.0. Keep it up, players!
Don't know the exact stat, but Altuve broke the franchise record of most hits in a certain amount of AB's to start one's career. Record was held by Cedeno.
