Also I wanted to start an Apple TV+ thread but I’ll use this one. Has any been watching it? My 12 pro came with a year for free. So far I’ve watched Ted lasso and mythic quest and they were both really good. Also I don’t know if they use a higher bandwidth or what but the uhd hdr content is noticeably higher quality than any other streaming service.
I hope he did. He deserves it. I’ve missed him a lot and the little snippets we get here and there just make me miss him more. I feel like my favorite uncle is coming home.
Sweet, but wtf is Apple TV. If ain’t included in my Apple Music I’ll probably have to just catch some YouTube clips on it.
It’s 5 bucks a month and they’re building up some quality originals. With my new phone I have a year to decide if it’s worth it but I’d pay 5 bucks a month just for Jon. Also they’re coming out with some packages at the end of the year that will bundle Apple TV with Apple Music and cloud storage among other things that you can split with “family.”
Have to admit that his recent interviews are always high handedly preachy but I don't think he does it primarily to show off. It's mostly insightful and pointed for a reason because he knows he has an audience.
Alright alright alright! Guess I'll have to spring for Apple TV+ after all. I have so much streaming material that I've put it off. Can't miss, Jon! What does the "+" mean?
AppleTV+ currently is one of the streaming services I might occasionally pay for. Maybe 3 months a year, catch up on some shows, etc. I actually do that with a few services. We are currently signed up to HBOMax for example. Coming up on time to cancel it for a bit though. We used it to watch 5ish solid shows. Then I’ll come back to it in 9 months to see what’s updated (important - be sure if you are coming to it mainly for one show that all episodes or out or almost out. we also just signed back up for cbs for Star Trek discovery new season. Sadly I did not do the above research and they have not released them all but one week at a time so now have to decide to put it on pause for the next month or just go ahead and pay for it and hopefully find something else worthwhile.
“As part of an expansive, multi-year deal with Apple, the Emmy-drenched former writer, producer and host of The Daily Show is set to front an all new current affairs series for the streaming service. The show, which will run for multiple seasons, puts Stewart back in the anchor’s chair as he explores a host of topics at the center of both the national conversation and his own advocacy work. The still untitled show, which will feature hourlong, single-subject episodes, will be executive produced by Stewart, through his company Busboy Productions. In his role as EP, he’ll be joined by his longtime manager James Dixon and former HBO chief Richard Plepler, who via his EDEN Productions also has a rich deal at Apple. A showrunner for the forthcoming series, for which Apple is expected to offer a companion podcast, has yet to be named.”
When I first saw the thread title I thought it was about an Elvis documentary. Instead, it was a groovy surprise!
Oh, King, eh? Very nice. And how d'you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers! By 'anging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. If there's ever going to be any progress with the--
