Grienke is fine. Both of those ground balls were lazy balls that just found the right place, the second one was inches from being a double play and a shut out quick inning. It happens.
I think all the Astros need to do is keep it close and they still have a good chance of ending it today. The A's bullpen is not set up as well today. Need to get to Montas though.
But then how will they protect the cardboard cutouts? Do we really want the cardboard fans to have a hole in their face?
Just so frustrating. So disappointing. unbelievable to pitch like that in this game. Turning out to be another Baker gaffe, choosing injured and recently bad pitcher for this crucial game.
I'm not being a smart ass when I say this, but aren't a lot (maybe the vast majority) of HR's ... pretty much on cement mixers and just batting practice fastballs? I get there are good bad ball hitters (Vlad Guerrero back in the day and Altuve sometimes)... but that was generally what I thought of when I think of pitches that go out. That or just playing in Coors, which doesn't count.
See my edit. He flashed a 2. That pitch was crushable regardless. He's done that several times this year. Would have been a nice time to show breaking ball and dot a FB, since he didn't throw Laureano a FB the entire AB.
You’re not wrong but the majority in this series have been extremely “Here you can’t miss this” taters
Got to find a way to make him work but we’re not even close, so far it appears we have no life today but lot of game left
