Listed as a starter vs TCU so guessing he was fine. Eagles is also listed as a starter over Black. Kid seems like he can run hot and cold so good to see him get the nod, he can be a huge weapon. Also Jake Smith will make his season debut. Outside of Whittington and Bijan, was really looking forward to seeing what him and Sam can do.
TCU is breaking in 5 new starters on their OL gave up 7 sacks last week so they should be able to. Then again we haven’t had much success getting to the QB this far either.
Nice to see Texas rediscover the run on that 1st drive in the 4th, then TCU was ready for it on the 2nd drive. PA passes are allowed. I know this is a weird year with practice restrictions and all, and the guys are learning a new technique, but I'm not at all sold on the shoulder-high "rugby style" tackling. God, they are so thin at LB. They're getting tons of pressure, just a step late mostly. Duggan must be a tough SOB, because he's gotten the **** beat out of him. As Joel Klatt said earlier, "This is the worst refereed game I've seen in a while." "We're on the struggle bus right now." I absolutely do not understand that defensive formation they used on the Duggan QB keeper TD. No **** he's going to run right up the middle if your DT's are lined up outside the OGs and there's nobody else in the middle of the field.
