If we make the playoffs we are likely locked into the 6th seed. This is the seeding I want...

1. Tampa
2. White Sox
3. Oakland
4. Twins
5. Yankees
6. Astros
7. Blue Jays
8. Cleveland

In this scenario we play Oakland in the 3 game series. Then we would play the winner between the Blue Jay and White Sox.

Tampa, New York, Minnesota, and Cleveland would all be on the opposite bracket and we would not see them until the ALCS.

 

Fiers can only hide so much. Hopefully that would inspire the offense. Chapman a huge loss for the A's

 

damn I didn't know the white sox were doing so well. I should look at the other standings perhaps.

I walked in the room in the 1st when they were showing his pitch breakdown for the season...I thought initially "those aren't terrible numbers at all: .770 on the FB, .750 on the cutter, etc....then I realized that wasn't the OPS but the slugging%.

 

Astros are making another "bad season" pitcher look like Cy.

so many 0-2's 1-2's ... even Bum can get guys out when we give him favorable counts all the time .

Yes, the Astros have 1 legitimate base hit off of possibly the worst starting pitcher in baseball.

Fans love to use buzzwords like pathetic and embarrassing, I never do because slumps happen in baseball. What we've seen from these hitters recently is pathetic, I think they just want the season over with.
