We always knew Denver is playoff fodder. I don't think any fans teams were saying "Boy, we really want to avoid Denver!" Really talented team but they remind me of those Horford Hawks teams that were really talented but their stars are just...stars.
I think it’s because he doesn’t have to face our switching defense. He was this good against OKC too in his rookie year. If he runs into us again, I expect another shutdown session for him.
Had no idea it was going this way, I have 6 play-off brackets with only one Jazz win in 7 and had Nuggets in 4 mostly. I figured Jokic would own their bigs, that Millsap could still play, their bigs off the bench would make Gobert just a non-factor as well as Murray and their wings to be better. Credit to Donovan and Conley for showing up. Mike Malone might be out after this.
The problem with Denver is they have a ton of talent and no structured hierarchy. It’s a matter of designating who the franchise player is and what everybody else’s role is going to be. Porter Jr. has the highest ceiling on the team to be a superstar in 2-3 years, Murray and Jokic are perennial All-Star caliber, and the rest including Harris, Barton, Millsap and Grant need to define their roles and stick to it. Boston went through the same problem until they designated Tatum as the franchise player, moved on from Irving, Horford, etc. Then, Kemba was brought in to help and now everyone on the Celtics knows their role and is there to support the franchise player Tatum going forward. Denver needs the same approach. They are still very young and should not panic and make rash moves. Let the process play out.
should be fun Utah @ Denver Scott Foster (#48) Tony Brown (#6) James Williams (#60) Mark Ayotte (#56)
Peace just passed up an open layup only to pass to a 3pt shooter...its nba trend not only hardens problem
Nuggets are regular season performers until they prove otherwise , Spida plays well. The high altitude thing doesn't work here, Utah is a bad matchup. Still would have wanted to see Will Barton and Gary Harris.
