One of the many frustrating things about that song is that they never address the OP's central question: How is it going to end, Jim?

 

I’m always amazed by how poignant and descriptive he is “the snake is old, the snake is long, 1000 miles”

I know kindergarteners that would struggle to write such a good song. A really good song. The song is long. Like 3 or 4 minutes long.
