Why go to GSW now? He could create a win win situation for OKC..... Tell GSW they can have him but in a sign and trade and bleed couple players for OKC. Win and win (probably less win for GSW but they got another superstar) He would have helped OKC (formerly known as Supersonics)
Didn't see first post til now. Out drinking. I have no inside info, but 4:1 seems like good value if you can get it. Sounds like 50/50 at worst. Where did you hear the 2nd part from?
Here's to hoping Durant goes to the Warriors... With the Rockets struggling to win 50 games, it will be fun to watch another Warriors regular season run.
**** that. And **** the Warriors we shoof be fine with couple if trades at least ppl need to wait till the start of the season
Why would he do that for OKC? If he goes to GSW they will be opponents/rivals. Plus, Silver might veto the trade lol
Love for the city and organization that he was with his entire career Your point makes sense too.... so yup
I have a feeling he's still deciding right now . And he will choose warriors in my opinion Honestly I don't care where he chooses , if people hate him because he leaves OKC , oh well he'll live
Also, IIRC the trade was disallowed because the NBA technically owned the Hornets / Pellies back then.... I think
It would be interesting to see if the NBA would veto him signing as a free agent with the Warriors based on its "Best interests of the Association" clause.
The League acted as the owner of the Pelicans. The League doesn't own GSW OR OKC so there's no way OR right or intention to veto anything If he goes to GSW I think that it may encourage star free agents next year to join together, and so leave their own teams.
My bad for the late reply. I was trying to see if I could get the Warriors to win it all at favorable odds anywhere around town. The reason I said it looks like it's a done deal is because there was a huge drop in price that I missed out on by a couple of hours on futures for the Warriors to win the championship around town. It reminds me of the price drop I saw a couple of years ago when the rumors of Lebron going back to Cleveland started coming out. The Warriors went from 3-1 to anywhere from +110 to +125 at places that have posted NBA futures. The SuperBook has them at -125 and moved OKC to 10-1. I think that's the first time ever a team has been favored for less than even money to win the NBA championship before the season has started. If I can find a rogue 3-1 number anywhere on Golden State to win the title either later on tonight or early tomorrow morning, I'm probably gonna take it. Nothing is for sure obviously, but either way, I think 3-1 is pretty reasonable and fair. That's all the info I have.
