Lebron and Harden pretty much play the same role he wouldnt fill the SF slot because we need an accurate catch and shoot and defensive ace player at that spot.

Harden, Lebron and Cp3 are all average catch and shoot players they need the ball in there hands if they are gonna be effective and earn that max salary. With 3 of them fighting for posessions and the other 2 being average catch and shoot 3 pt shooters that team wont win a lot of game esp when the supporting cast are all vet mins.

no basis for that last sentence, that’s just your own speculation...we would be the heavy favorites for the title with Lebron

With Lebron Rox would have 3 All stars GSW has 5 Allstars so exactly how are the Rox gonna be heavy favorites?

Lebron couldnt even bring the Lakers to the playoffs how is he gonna make the Rox heavy favorites when Rox would lose all their depth and good players by adding him?

Lebron wants control and be the center of the franchise there is no speculation needed he would have wanted Harden out you think he would be ok waiting for Harden handoffs? This is the same guy who wrote an open letter to Kyrie and Tristan Thompson talking about how he will lead them to a ring while snubbing Wiggins who "shockingly" got traded for Love shortly after.

GS had 4 All-Stars last year while the Rockets had 2 and almost beat them so that means nothing to me

Bron couldn’t bring the Lakers to the playoffs because he missed 18 straight games which is significant...Rockets wouldn’t be in the playoffs either if Harden ever missed that many games

When father time comes, sometimes it's fast and furious. Lebron's play has taken a huge hit from just a couple of years ago. If they stick long enough, it will happen to all of them, including my man, Hakeem.

Cleveland had 2 all stars GSW had 4 all stars they got swept. Just because all stars dont mean nothing to you doesnt mean Rox would become heavy favorites adding Lebron when they lose all their depth.

Lakers missed 18 straight games the season is 82 games long. If he was still good they should have made a run and gone to the playoffs even as an 8th seed. Harden didnt miss 18 games but Cp3, Capela and EG did and he still carried the team. If all those guys were 100% healthy and it was Harden who missed 18 games the Rox would still make the playoffs when Harden came back.

Harden is MVP and the best player on the planet Old man Lebron is top 5 maybe even top 10 with how bad his defense is and his toxic personality. That's a big difference between the 2.

The fact that Lebron missed 18 games shows it is a blessing he didnt come to the Rockets. What would happen to the team when Cp3, Capela and Lebron all miss time due to injury? This season would be lost even Harden cant win with just a bunch of vet mins.

And who(except Harden and his stans) exactly cares about that more than championship which would be far more probable with Bron?

we are talking about the Rockets, not the Cavs...Harden and CP3 with Bron>>>>Bron with Kevin Love who isn’t even a star so what happened to the Cavs doesn’t mean anything to me either

Lose all their depth? Depth Mike will probably not play in the playoffs anyways? Mike will be playing his 7 or 8 guys like he does every year. Most of this depth we have now Morey acquired off the scrap heap during the season which he sill could’ve done. Guys like Ego aren’t even needed when u have Bron. Losing Tucker would hurt, but I’m not gonna be crying over him when it’s Bron who’s being added to the roster.

18 games is like 20% of the season, and they imploded during that time. You’re not missing your best player on a team with no other star for 18 games and making the playoffs in the West. CP3, and all those role players being out does not come close to Harden being out for a large stretch of the season so not even sure why you’re bringing that up. CP3 is guaranteed to miss his 20 games every year as well, so if the Rockets didn’t have Harden for 18 they would not make the playoffs.

Yeah, 34 yo Bron can’t miss 18 games and make the playoffs in the West. That doesn’t even matter because we are not talking about replacing Harden with Bron, we are talking about adding Bron to a roster that already has Harden on it, so who cares if Bron is not as good as Harden on his own? He’s still a superstar.

Bron missing 18 games is an anomaly. What happens if CP3 gets injured in the playoffs again or Harden is shooting 30% from 3 like he’s done the past 2 playoffs? There is no question of if Bron will elevate his game come postseason. Adding Bron is all about the impact he can have during the playoffs.

It doesn’t matter anyways because it’s clear Bron was never coming here. I’m not sure why this thread is even asking this question. We’re talking about dodging something that never had a chance of landing to begin with.

Just like we are going to get Butler with no cap space and no trade-able assets. Well I heard the lakers are trying to trade lebron. How about EG for Lebron?

There is a pathway to get Butler in an "opt-in and trade" where the 76ers could get *assets* for Butler instead of letting him walk for nothing. Assets like Gordon and a pick. Literally the exact same methodology as the Clippers and CP3 situation.

Not saying it is going to happen, just that there is a legit pathway for it to happen.
