Now that club competition is done, let's get this thread started.

I'm really looking forward to the tournament, because there's not one or two huge favorites above everybody else. Big football nations like Spain, Italy and Germany struggled and won't be able to send their best team in years. With homecourt advantage, France still might have the best chances on paper. But the European Championship has a history of underdog winners like Denmark in 1992 or Greece in 2004. I feel like this year history could repeat itself without being able to really point at a team that could be capable of such a huge upset.
Some people think this could be Belgium's year, but I'm not sold on them since they have a young team that is completely unproven in big tournaments. I can't see them pass the quarter finals.

Who do you guys got? Who are you rooting for?

Belgium haven't been high on my list these years, just not experienced enough. My favourites are Germany and France, with Spain a slight tier below.

    Precisely only that I got

Spain, Germany and France in the same tier (Spain likely not as strong as they were in the last 2 tourneys)

Then I got Belgium in a single tier

then I got dark horses and veteran teams like

    Croatia, Italy, Portugal

and I will be watching teams like Iceland, Wales, Austria, Switzerland...

I really like the chance of the Dutch team. They made it to the semi finals of the WC. Oh wait... nevermind.

I think this is the year England finally lives up to...no, I can't even joke about it. England will bring in some young, creative attacking talent and proceed to play 1970's style and remain depressing to watch.

I like France in this one. They were my hope in the WC but I didn't really think they would win. Now I think they are ready.

England and Roy Hodgepodge... lulz. Plus half their team gets injured if you stare at them long enough.

I'm going for Croatia this time.

Nah England under Roy have played decent creative footy (when compared to his predecessors) but they are still England. High, unrealistic expectations by the media then leads to pressure from the fans and disappointment when England inevitably lose in the group stage (horrible loss despite playing good inspired football) or the Round of 16 on Penalties. The cycle will go on again and again.

My only hope is that Roy doesn't pick Rashford because the hype when Rashford performs well off the bench for England will be just crazy and then he'll return to United and spend the rest of his career trying to live up to the overhyped expectations a la Michael Owen.

Rashford may just be the key though, coming in to add to a solid Kane, Vardy, Sturridge strikeforce, and help England make a run to the final, and in doing so convince Mourinho that he is the man to lead Mou's strikeforce going forward. :)

France with a great game yesterday, that midfield is truly beautiful to watch. The creativity is off the charts with Pogba, Payet, Coman etc, every attack seemed dangerous. Right now they're still lacking discipline though, a ton of unnecessary turnovers and sloppy turnovers because of no-look passes and trying to show off.
