Does every damn effing belt made for men have to be frigging reversible? The stupid twist buckle breaks half the effing time. How frigging vain do you have to be to think that many people care what color belt you wear??? And if they do care that much, then why the hell are you wearing something as tacky as a reverisble belt? Just buy another one. 200 frigging belts at marshalls, found like 5 (timberland) that didn't have that stupid pany twist buckle for dipcracks who decide they want to change their belt color in the middle of the effing day
Spend the extra money to get a quality (non-reversible) full-grain leather belt from a legit purveyor (I bought from these guys: http://www.orionleathercompany.com/). Not only will the ****ty belts at Marshalls have their reversible buckles break, the glued leather composite they're made out of will crease and fray and split and all the stitching will come out. A real belt is not only better, it'll actually be cheaper in the long-run.
I was thinking about my own belt experiences and my come to Jesus moment I had about a year ago that I talked about in this thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=257342. Now, I do my part to evangelize.
I read a study that showed American men saved $2.3 billion annually on belts after the reversible concept was released. In that study there actually was an extra .45 billion spent on buckles.
I have purchased reversible belts from calvink klein, kenneth cole, nike golf, and michael kors. buckles all broke in less than 2 or 3 months. it's a stupid concept.
