Why does Dwight even have an agent? Any team with max cap room would give him the max, and I'm sure he knows that.
"Millionaire tax". Sounds about right. Basically cost of living coupled with celebrity status/expectations for your lifestyle. His agent sucks if he thinks the Rockets can't build a contender. Sounds like homeslice just wants his cut and nothing else.
Either he is telling the truth or he is really really smart and did a lot of research to pull the wool over us. Everything he says makes sense and/or is accurate.
He's been right in the past. Why bash 1 of the few insiders we have on this board? In another thread I made a comment to someone about the 5th year not being important since they usually opt out anyway to get 1 last big payday.
There's a lot more to the contracts then just how much money. There's the question of incentives, when money is paid, where to send it, extra perks, etc. Rule of thumb when negotiating: if the other side has a lawyer (and I'm sure every team in the league does), you should too.
Patience is a virtue. Been waiting on a dominant big man since Yao left us :-/ Also, this could be the next coming of an all-star 1-2 punch.
fwiw cyberx earlier claimed to have had lunch with a Rockets executive and said we will go after Josh Smith/Milsap over the summer http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?t=235496
Supposedly OP works for an agent. Dan Fegan represents Kevin Martin so it's understandable that he would steer other clients away from the Rockets.
