-Keuch tied franchise record for most consecutive home W's. -Stros likely double-dip the Rangers (down 6-0, Top 8th, @SD) Spoiler Can we stop calling Keuchel by his first name Seriously Keuch is sufficient... and shorter to type
Yeah, before I heard his name properly pronounced I kept referring to him as "COOCH-el" which was awkward by itself. When I heard how it was intended to be pronounced I kind of preferred my incorrect way. GO COOCHIE GO
Yeah, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt an assume you've never heard this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kike
For tonight's game we have Fields, Villar and Thatcher. I like the moves, well, Fields is one of our best relievers, so we have a very good one there. I like Thatcher, we need to make a move on the 40 men roster, maybe is going to be Chapman, lets see. Villar, he will help. The only problem i have with him is the defense, but he can hit and run. Before going down he was hitting over .260 (same average more or less from both sides of the plate) and would be a great pinch runner. This guy if he improves on defense (he struggles with the easy outs) he has the talent, with a good arm. He should not play much SS for us, but will be able to play some OF and pinch hit or pinch run, making him a valuable player for the playoff hunt. Next one is going to be Tucker and after that, i think a guy like Singleton will help, and then a guy like Buchanan. Why? Because we dont want to waste arms in game losing by a lot, or winning by a lot, he would be our long man out of the bullpen, instead of VV who can help us in big innings as he has great stuff. Another opition could be Hoes. That would be 7 or 8 guys. This is not over, still 7 games with the Rangers, but our starting pitching is so good that worse we can do on those games is a 3 and 4, not good enough for the Rangers to overtake us.
Villar will be a nice insurance policy if we have an injury to one of the infielders. Decent bat, switch hitter, can pinch run, but yes, he's a liability on defense.
Once again we are 14 games over .500. 6th time is the charm, tonight is the night we finally break through to 15 games over. After that the dam breaks and we runaway and hide.
Michael Connor? Is that you?? Heard him say the exact same thing this morning on 790...so just checking!
Damn, no offense intended Just say his full last name, D, or Dal... maybe BaseBeard His first name should only be used in emergency
