I imagine she just got a life; last post I saw was about projects and working in O&G, could be putting in some serious time at whatever her current gig.
Every once in a while a google search will show a list of numbered threads. Not sure if it's also on that "rafer" server that shows up.
What I want to see is an archive of the original clutchcity.com, before the slogan "nothing but net". Eff the '99ers. Children.
I'm very glad to be still around but this place does lack the same feel as the older days. No more blood fueds. No more trolls to chase off. No more being a troll. There were days I knew I could stroll into the hangout and be in for at least one epic thread or catch up on a previous one. Not to say there aren't still some fine new posters around here, but I guess I'm more content to be on the sidelines these days while you guys discuss the important things. Seasons change. But my heart will always be here, where I grew up.
The original BBS was lost when Clutch migrated to the new server in '99. So no. On the other hand, this is the earliest one I could find: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=12310
Here's one talking about Mario Elie on the Spurs: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=5 Here's one piling on Karl Malone, a favorite ClutchCity pastime of yore: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=7 And another talking about how terrible Fran Blinebury is: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=12469 Scottie Pippen demands a trade: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=2018 Regarding the legal ramifications of using the ClutchCity.com domain: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=2030 So really not much has changed.
Every decade an alpha presents himself and gives it a spark. My light is dim now, I can't hold this candle any longer.
Technically a good number of us were '97ers, or was it '96ers? Clutch switched it over and reset everything in Feb '99 - and we had to re-register, I was in the UK and didn't re-register until March. What was funny is there was only like 300 of us, but it felt like more, now there are thousands and it feels like less. Strange. DD
I miss the days of trolling Fatty so hard he continually proposed places to meet so he could try to fight me. Loved the melts so much.
