    This is exactly what I was thinking. He ordered this food for some girl at his place, struck out, then while alone looked over the bill.

    It'd be more like the diner served everyone raw food and you were the only one to complain about getting sick. If you stood your ground, then maybe the diner would fix the raw food problem.

    Being overcharged with outdated online prices happens. It's not the end of the world, but because that lawyer pushed the issue (albeit in the most dick fashion possible) future customers won't get overcharged for the time being.

    They weren't getting overcharged. The dude just didn't update the website. Prices will stay the same.

    It's a mom and pop shop. This whole thing is absurd.

    What's wrong with just telling the mom and pop's diner it's under cooked? Instead of asking for 3X the refund AFTER eating the food, then threatening to get a lawyer? This is what we've become?

    I get customers like this all the time. Entitled white people are the worst customers. Today during a torrential downpour in New York, this stupid hippie wanted to know why he got his food 10 minutes later than the estimated delivery time. Meanwhile, the roads are flooded and half the highways are flooded. Entitled white folks are horrible people and honestly deserve to die in a fire while they're on the can, that way the last image of them to the folks who pretend to give a ***** about them is them doing what they do best, try to **** on everything.

    That website disclaimer seems like the end of it to me. When I lived in Omaha the Godfather's restaurants would change online orders all the time because they weren't stocked in what I ordered; I think I refused to sign and accept once, but one other time I called back and complained and they mailed a voucher. Something to me about arguing about food seems decidedly low rent. Once the manager said he would wait for the authorities that customer should have just ****ed off.

    That has nothing to do with race. Go to Olive Garden any time other than weekend or evenings and watch certain other groups of people start haggling on $8 pasta dishes.

    He may be trying to gauge and document the feasibility of asserting legal and regulatory consumer policies for the sake of instructional material later, I'd almost be willing to consider that possibility given the relatively low dollar risk of any possible outcome.

    Sounds like the weather conditions were obviously going to delay delivery. Perhaps the estimated delivery time should have taken that into account. How dare someone think that you are providing them with meaningful information.

    If this guys is a business professor, maybe he should figure out that this small change isn't worth the value of his time? Of course maybe he just derives pleasure from arguing over small stuff.
