you know how coach says there's "fast" then there's "football fast" your speed when you account for pads, the grass etc. Scola is "basketball fast" he'll have his hand in a play to steal the ball, make the outlet then somehow for a low big white dude be there to finish the play Lebron, he'll start under his own basket then outrun everyone to get a block on the man trying to slam it home on the other end Brooks has a lot of "fast" but ends up under the basket with his shot blocked. Martin to me seems more about that first step capacity, but his speed could well account for the fact that he gets so many foul calls, guys get beat and have to foul
Brooks W/BALL has good initial acceleration and burst. He can change direction easy keeping the same speed, not much slowdown. More quick and limber than fast, like Darren Sproles. If it were football he could get "separation from the defender" or "hit the hole hard" .......(thats what she said) Joe Alexander is a freak. He should try the Antonio Gates approach as an NFL tight end.
my bad. this was kinda related but not exactly the same. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=173515&highlight=fastest
