I always feel good about the rockets. I'm really excited to see what marcus morris can do. and kyle lowry is a monster now. ppat and cbud are developing nicely, and we have dragic and flynn who will battle for playing time. I don't think we're a great team, but with some moves and it being such a crazy year, I think we have a shot at doing something special.
Not at all....let's see the final team, but a new coaching staff, with little preperation.....not feeling it... DD
Not really feeling well about this season either. New coaching staff, no time for preparations, practices. And the roster isn't very strong either. I am just curious to see Lowry play after what he has done last year. Hope he keeps improving. But really, I hope I am wrong, but I don't see reason for optimism other than we can finally watch NBA and our Rockets play.
One silver lining, we can always root for the Knicks to lose. If NY looks poor enough could we trade the rights to the pick for a trade deadline star?
I'm excited as hell about what this kid Morris can do. Is he a 3 or is he a 4? So many intriguing questions. Can Lowry finally take that next step? I can see him being in the All Star game this year. He's a top 10 PG for sure. Lowry will take us far. We just need to nab a center, preferably Nene and let it roll! A Lowry/Martin/Morris/Hayes/Nene lineup would be fun as hell to watch. We could dangle Scola on the market and see if we can upgrade the wing position. Would either the Pacers or Sixers accept a Scola+fillers for Iguodala or Granger?
Nah, nothing big for the Rockets this year. I'm happy basketball is back, but it's not like we missed out on a 50+ win season. With McHale, we're taking a step back in terms of coaching and so subtract 3-5 wins from last years total.
I don't think they're a contender with any of the FAs on the market. No stars available. It could certainly boost them into the 6-8th seed though.
Another thing too... If they do not extend Courtney Lee (they don't like extending players unless you're 7'6" and from China), then he needs to be traded. Sure, the Rockets could match and re-sign him next summer, but you're going to pay more then, than you will now.
Morris is the real deal and will blow many people out of the water! Canit wait till the season starts!
i'm not stocking confetti, champagne or ice but sure. why the hell not? lots of time to be disappointed later.
I am just excited to see what Morris can do as well as the 2009 class especially Williams and Hill. 3rd year is usually make or break and I am hoping that at least 2 of the 4 lottery picks from 09 class show up.
