Back when we were trying to get Bosh, I was willing to move Luis for him, and I'm a huge fan of the guy, but I wouldn't do it now. Scola proved himself worthy of his contract this season, Patterson showed why Morey drafted him and, of course, Kyle found another gear. Heck, an entirely new transmission. I'll pass.
Bill Simmons is an idiot. Patterson is not going anywhere, Lowry is not going anywhere, and Scola's nuts are far tooooo large to be traded for Bosh.
Seems like he's already missing the Trade Machine. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4xxpde6 Spoiler This Trade Failed
Lowry and Scola would give that team the stones they need. Would love to see them get a ring, but that's a terrible deal.
Scola/Miller and a 1st rounder for Bosh is more appropriate. I'm surprised Simmons came up with a trade that ridiculous. He doesn't know a thing about the rockets. I wouldn't trade Lowry for Bosh straight up, so why would we add Scola and Patterson?
If considered an upgrade at all. Scola might not be as athletic as Bosh; but Bosh proved he's a huge pansy.
Scola, Dragic, and Hill. Bosh ain't worth more. He can't even be the #3 player for a championship team? Scola can be that, easily.
Bosh has done a very good playoffs until this finals and is a key piece in their offensive schemes. I very much doubt they think about trading him. As for the Rockets, Scola+Kyle, I think I'd do it. Not including Pat, but Miller+Blakely to square salaries.
Simmons probably hasn't watched much of Kyle Lowry, but at the same time, I think we overvalue our own a bit at times. Still, I think that's overpaying for Bosh. I liked Bosh on a team that was getting Yao back and had a good supporting cast but I don't think I'd gut the team for him.
but on one hand, it gives us something to use in acquiring Dwight/ CP3 and then trading away Martin give us more Cap to get both
