It wasn't "okay" for someone to assault another simply because he was walking through a neighborhood or because he was looking at them. That's what Trayvon did and the fact that he ended up getting killed for it doesn't change that he was wrong for doing it. I understand it might not be PC but when Scumbag A and Scumbag B collide, and one ends up dead, it's not really a tragedy. If Trayvon was a good person, he'd have simply gone into his house and he'd be alive today. Even if he chose not to do the obvious and go inside his house and instead opted to investigate the situation he could have lived if he was a good person because a good person wouldn't have assaulted someone for simply looking at them. I've had friends who have ended up dead about the same age as Trayvon who were good people that were legitimate victims who didn't get to live out their lives through no fault of their own so I don't have any sympathy for him. Trayvon was only a victim of himself and his bad choices. That said, George Zimmerman is a pretty terrible person too, so if he ends up getting himself killed one day, I won't shed a tear for him either. Especially if it happens while he's attacking someone like happened to Martin.
super weak sauce. You are attacking the victim so much, that you are saying his killer is the victim lols. you are a very weak debater, employing legendary logical fallacies whenever necessary. And you think you're as smart as us Rice kids like bigtexxx. No you're not. you're just boring...and predictable.
In this situation, the "killer" was the victim. Let's do a fun thought exercise. Let's imagine a scenario where Zimmerman was unarmed. What happens in this scenario? Zimmerman follows the kid, the kid sees him and Zimmerman catches a beating while the kid ends up catching a case when the cops finally show up. The only person who committed a crime in the whole scenario is Martin.....how are you claiming he's the victim? Just because a person ends up dead does not mean they are a victim.
It being positive or negative is subjective. It's obviously not the most positive result, but I don't see an attacker getting shot as an altogether negative thing. He'll never get the opportunity to assault anyone else. I understand that not everyone will see it that way, but I don't think we should lose sight of what really happened.
Zimmerman is a coward and would have never stepped out of his vehicle if he didn't have that gun. Treyvon was a teen and teens are notorious for poor judgment. His downfall was that he was a BLACK teen...that leaves little room for error on his part.
That's besides the point. Let's say he did step out of his car, what would have happened to him? He'd have caught a beating for simply looking at the wrong person....sounds like it's a good thing he had a gun. Would it have been a good thing if the guy Martin chose to assault was incapable of defending himself? Isn't that an odd way to think? The kid's downfall had nothing to do with his race, his downfall was that he picked the wrong guy to assault. If he picked his would-be victims better, he'd still be alive.
Or maybe he would have actually fought like a man. Treyvon didn't pick him...GZ followed Treyvon. Even when Treyvon tried to confront him the first time at the pool house, GZ coward away and didn't even have the balls to identify himself. He even had dispatch on the phone and could have just said hey man I've called the cops already. You're just saying the kid has to do everything right and since he didn't he got shot and oh well.
The kid didn't have to "do everything right", he just had to not assault another person....honestly that shouldn't be hard. Martin saw Zimmerman, and chose to attack him. Zimmerman didn't chose to attack Martin, meaning it's possible for two people to be in the same place without attacking each other like mindless beta fish....so what's Martin's excuse? He broke the law, he attacked someone else, and as a result he got killed because he picked the wrong potential victim. The whole "fight like a man" BS is the mentality of a 5 year old or the mentality of a criminal and we're probably both at least mostly law abiding adults, so let's drop that nonsense. 2 people don't have to fight each other simply because they are in the same place.
You're making it seem as if Trayvon attacked some random guy on the street or as if the attack was premeditated and uninitiated by GZ. Trayvon had already made an attempt to see why this guy was following him. GZ reason for calling was to report suspicious activity. A responsible adult with a little common sense would have said through the cracked window that he was a citizen on patrol and he was on the phone with the police because there had been several recent break ins recently. An adult with common sense would have waited for the police to arrive. If his real intentions were to stop a crime, he had already done that, by calling the police. Now we see this continued record of violence by GZ and people like you, don't even have the slight sense of humanity to say...hey, maybe this ******* GZ did get away with murder. It's impossible for the BLACK teen to be the victim in any scenario for you.
Why do you keep bringing up his race when Zimmerman himself didnt seek to identify Martin as black until prompted by the dispatch? Why do you hate Hispanics so much that you want to see Zimmerman jailed? Do you also honestly believe an overgrown teenager loitering around in a neighborhood and walking up to houses to peek through windows would not have attracted some suspicion regardless of what his skin looked like at night under a hoodie?
bwaaahahaha that thread never gets old! http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=239809 the idea of him pocketing 90% of the sales and giving a paltry 10% to charity is simply pathetic. Not to mention he was trying to sell mardi gras colored Katrina bracelets to help the tragedy in West, Texas. lmao strong judgment brah
He didn't deserve to be banned. He is entitled to his opinion regardless of how absurd it is. I did find it quite ironic that he discussed "brainwashed" and didn't see the connection to Islamic extremists.
He did attack some random guy who committed the crime of looking at him. Saying "Why you following me?" then throwing a punch, isn't really "an attempt" Classic case of blaming the victim. A woman wouldn't get raped if she wasn't wearing those sexy clothes right? It has nothing to do with Martin's race (at least for me, even if it does for you), it's impossible for the guy who assaulted someone for looking at them to be the victim in this scenario. Martin committed a crime and it ended up killing him, simple as that. If he was a better person, he'd still be alive. As to Zimmerman, he certainly seems like a scumbag, but that's not really relevant because if you attack a scumbag, they still have the right to defend themselves. Perhaps one day he'll attempt to assault someone and end up getting shot for it.
