    I have 400,000 of these:

    <a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/user/felixanguiano/media/WP_20130607_049.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n595/felixanguiano/WP_20130607_049.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo WP_20130607_049.jpg"/></a>

They are 400,000 Mardi gras colored rubber bracelets that say "We will rebuild" "Katrina"

I'd like to sell them all and donate 10% to the Red Cross Tyler Chapter in North Texas to help with the rebuilding in West since FEMA won't be helping out. That would be a $40K donation.

I'm willing to pay 1% to anyone that can help me sell them all. Will also donate 1% to CF tip jar for some help getting these sold.

I've contacted the Red Cross and there is a waiting list for a review. I've submitted all my information already and I'm just waiting on them to get back to me. Either way...they sent me an email stating that I could start my own fundraiser and donate to the cause.

Here is a copy of their email:

    Hello Felix,

Thank you for reaching out to support the American Red Cross! Your compassion makes a world of difference in advancing the Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies. Hundreds of individuals have reached out to us to find out how they can help, and it’s taking us a bit longer than we’d hoped to respond to requests.

We wanted to let you know that we are working diligently to provide responses to each and every request as quickly as possible. If you’d like to get started right away and/or are looking for an option that does not require prior approval, we encourage you to use one of the options listed below.

    1. Create your own Fundraiser: If you would like to support our current fundraising efforts, you can create an online fundraiser and invite your peers, clients, family and friends to support you. Please visit: www.redcross.org/myfundraisingcampaign.

    2. Display American Red Cross Banner Ads: Use an American Red Cross banner on your website, blog or other social media page. Just visit http://www.redcross.org/about-us/media/public-service-advertising/web-banners and select the banner that best meets your needs.

    3. Use Facebook: If you have a Facebook page for your company or organization, you can add the Donate Tab to your page by visiting: http://apps.facebook.com/redcross-donate/ and choosing “Add to my page”

If you have a personal Facebook profile, you can choose from “supporter”, “volunteer” and other Red Cross badges to add to your timeline.

    4. Use eBay Giving to host an auction: You may buy and sell items to support our cause. You can donate 10-100% of their listing's final sale price to the Red Cross. Buyers can donate $1 (or more) whenever they make a purchase on eBay and pay using PayPal.

    5. Contact your Local Chapter: Your local Red Cross chapter will be able to provide you with the latest information on ways to support your community and Red Cross relief activities. You may find the contact information for your chapter by visiting http://www.redcross.org/find-your-local-chapter and entering your zip code.

    6. Donate Blood: Visit Redcrossblood.org to schedule a time to donate blood or host a blood drive.

Thank you again for supporting the American Red Cross.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

I do have them listed on my eBay page and on my own website but none have sold. I've shared on FB but not much movement there. I just need a way to reach the masses.

    Thanks Clutchfans!

You're trying to use Katrina to sell $400,000 worth of bracelets so you can pocket 90% of that? Incredibly lame.

88%...Remember, I'll also pay 1% for someone's help and 1% to the tipjar. How much have you donated to any cause?

I did't steal these either. I paid for them...they were sitting in storage not doing anyone any good....what's wrong with selling them and donating a portion to help people?

I'm in the reselling business and I have a business to run...That money will also help me hire some help and create jobs.

If you have a business and are hiring why do you need CF to help you sell? And paying 2% of revenue for it... right...

I need ideas. I'm just now getting into this business and I buy things in bulk. Some things I can sell easily and some things require a little extra effort. I'm not sure why I'm getting all this hostility? When was the last time any of you guys donated $40k?

Profiting off of a charitable cause is scummy.

This is NOT the place to attempt whatever it is you're trying to do.

Yes. Its the best way to make the actual transaction because 10% automatically goes to the red cross. Just hard to get the traffic.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

"Here, buy this bracelet supporting Katrina victims, but no the money doesn't go to them, it's for the West victims. I should have West explosion bracelets in by Febuary 2020."

(In response to Deckard) It would be one place if he didn't want such a large profit margin.

I think you need to decrease the profit margin to a very small amount to make this acceptable to most people.
