One guy - treeman - risks his life for his country and the free world. The other guy - Felixthecat - tries to make a buck off a natural disaster
bigtexxx dared me to post so. You look exactly like I expected. Glad you came home alive. 4,500 American kids didn't.
Liberal back slappers you say? There are two sides to everything. Just a couple of years ago I remember a rather staunch conservative on this board not only deny my service because of my liberal leanings but also said he would never trust me as an American because my family is Muslim. There was no Bigtexxx or any other well known conservative defending me on this board. People like Bigtexx will only verbally respect veterans and they have to be conservative on top of that. If I remember correctly, the poster was gyneco or something along those lines. And treeman, I got respect for you as a fellow service member, but your posts bleed of paranoia.

As you can plainly see, my wife is much better looking than I am. Making fun of the way I look is totally fair game, BTW.
Jesus. Too much time on your hands. You're right and I was wrong. You're not quite as big a liar as I thought. I stand corrected.
In hindsight no it wasn't. I was fortunate not to loose any limbs. Just have a metal plate on my right ankle now and some scars. We were sent out on an ambush patrol on a compound in Marjah. Unfortunately we were the ones ambushed. We were attempting to break contact from enemy fire trying to find a better position. Our squad was following the path of a dried up irrigation canal. The canal ended on an intersection with a dirt road. We reached that intersection and there was pull string directional fragmentation charge waiting for us. It almost took out the legs of me and my buddy behind me. We were immediately medavaced to Camp Bastion. We all made it that day but in 2 months our battalion lost 17 men.
