    Here in lies the problem....

So many people are so concerned with Harden being the MVP and not looking at the long term goal of winning an NBA Championship.

All of you can complain about Curry all you want, but with Kerr he's learned the main thing that every superstar has had to learn win the trophy. Get your teammates involved first, don't worry about your own personal stats. Kareem learned this, Jordan learned this and even Hakeem learned this.

Charles was on TNT the other night stating that when he was in Philly he was the man and had to score 28 points a game, but when he got to Phoenix the game became easier when he learned that once he got his teammates involved the game became easier. Harden still likes to play a 1 on 1 and that is going to catch up with him as the season goes on.

First fans who think harden is playing at MVP level also want the rockets to win a ring. It's not mutually exclusive

Do the rockets have another reliable playmaker?

How may assists does harden have in a game?

Does harden have consistent shooters to pass to?

Man.... This sounds like Deja vu with Hakeem years ago, until Rudy T. convinced him that he had to Trust his teammates... The same with Jordan and Phil...

You people and your freaking stats.... Again, stats don't tell the whole story.

Watch the games.. You act like this team is going anywhere without harden..

We all know d12 ain't nothin now

Rockets have the best chance to win if he's aggressive and playmaking

We are winning because of harden. Not inspite of him

Harden is literally carrying the team on his shoulders. He needs help. Our role players are good, but they are not enough. Unfortunately, Howard is currently a non-factor.

LOL... Again, Deja Vu withe Jordan and Hakeem... The Hawks tried to teach Wilkins the same lesson but he refused to learn... So the results ended up with Jordan and Hakeem winning a trophy and Wilkins winning none...

So learn from history.. The Rockets have talent on this team and a lot of it.. It just needs to be used correctly and effectively.

Apples to oranges. Has Wilkins ever averaged anywhere close to 27, 7, 7?

Durant hasn't won anything. Is it his fault?

Put in here Wilkins, Jordan, and Hakeem's teammates

I bet u blame harden for Dwight being blocked 4 times and dmo going 2 out of 8 the other night

Oh wow... you getting defensive and sensitive.....

People can hate Curry all they want, but he literally has the same team as last year, the only difference is the coach who has changed his attitude and his game.

Hmmm Deja Vu with Phil and Rudy T...

    To answer your questions...

Wilkins had the ball in his hand too much and never won anything (same will happen to Harden if his game doesn't change)

Durant has another issue and it starts with Westbrook...

You talk about the teammates... Those teams virtually were the same.. The main thing that changed was the coach and their philosophy...

The one thing I have seen with the Spurs, Warriors and now the Hawks is that the ball doesn't stick.... Teams win championships, individuals will only win games.

Hate to bring this up. but the reason JL didnt fit this team was because the team wanted to give Harden all the ball-handling abilities. It was justified at that point because rockets needed to develop James and prove he is worth the contract. However, the result is rockets was not interested in maximising other talents.

Curry can get the Harden stats and better, if he wants. He is sharing with Klay and supports his teammate's coming out parties. They don't fight each other for stats, they amplify each other.

Actually, Klay turning into a star proves Curry is the MVP. Having better teammates just means the team become more unbeatable. It doesn't mean Curry deserves less of his MVP status. Because the team is winning and Curry should be credited for it.

The warriors had roughly the same roster as last year. outlaw96 in another thread here mentioned:
"It's funny how when GSW is #1 miraculously their roster is called super strong while year ago it was like "Mark Jackson is such a good coach leading GSW to playoffs with their crap roster"

IMO Curry bought in Kerr's message, as did all warriors, thus Curry is the became the true MVP caliber player and his team is becoming unstoppable.

No one here is hating on curry

You're just overly sensitive and hating on harden

So you admit Durants issue is he is not holding the ball more and shooting more?

Are people seriously arguing Harden isn't trying to get his teammates involved?

You've been here a lot longer than I have, so shouldn't you be used to beating a dead horse over and over? Pretty much 99% of threads that aren't about games or highlights are of one of the following.

    1. Various ways to say Harden is awesome.
    2. Various ways to say the Rockets suck
    3. Various ways to say McHale should be fired
    4. Various ways to say Dwight should be disposed of
    5. Various ways of worshipping DMo, post, etc.
    6. Random players suck/not good enough
    7. Paging Cyberx

Given how few topics there are in general, I would say 4 threads devoted to Harden's greatness is actually a bit on the low side. Should be more like 50% Harden is MVP threads.
