They're only 2 games ahead of the 9th seed right now. If they continue to lose, will Pop stop resting his starters?
Either way, I think I'm finally confident in saying their window is closed. Whether they are or aren't too old, the West is too good.
"Are the Spurs done?" - We've been asking this question for 5 straight seasons now and we never learn our lesson.
They usually get going when they have to go on their rodeo road trip. being the 1st or 2nd seed is going to suck this year. Having to face OKC or the Spurs in the first round.
While I dont think the Spurs will miss the playoffs, I dont think they will make it far in the playoffs. As others stated, the west is simply playing great basketball right now. Last year, their biggest challenge was Dallas. If everyone stays healthy, the playoffs will be one of the better ones in recent years. Off topic, we really need to do away with divisions and conferences once playoffs come about.
Nah, they'll turn it on toward the end of the season. Don't think they'll make it to the finals again though.
More like the past 10 seasons. This kind of threads about the Spurs pop up at least once, sometimes two or more times each season for as long as I can remember.
It seems like every time February rolls around, they just start dominating. I think they will make a late run to overtake PHX. If the Rockets finish 1st or 2nd this year, they will get SA or OKC first round. Wow. OKC might be the favorite to win the West as an 8th seed. Hoping for Spurs, Warriors, Mavs, or Blazers. Want no part of OKC, MEM, or LAC. This conference is ridiculous. If the Rockets were in the East, they would most likely be guaranteed the East finals.
