UPDATE: 8/12/2014 12:07pm <HR> Reports on spanish news site says two years $3.5 mil subject to physical. http://tercerequipo.com/2014/08/12/...ckets‏/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Worth it even if the only thing he does is show up for OKC and Durant. For some reason he just knows how to cover him.
He struggled most of last season but you always knew he was a vet leader on the team. It's a very important aspect to a good team, IMO. I hope he bounces back & would love to have him back.
Ok, that is good to know. I wouldn't be too opposed to a 1 year guaranteed deal with a 2nd year team option. Last season, he was very disappointing.
Veteran, leadership, locker room presence, can be a calming voice in the face of adversity and is still better than the total scrubs Covington and Gee. As things stand and if true... Bev / Canaan Harden / TD Ariza / Cisco TJ / Adrien Dwight / DMO With Nick Johnson and Dorsey rounding off the 12 men.
Although I like the signing of Papa...er, Papa...er, Papanikolau?, and I'd prefer to keep him here, the signing of Cisco might make the NBA rook that much more expendable if we can set our sights on a trade. Not advocating. Just sayin.
I don't mind this, but I hope Kostas blooms quickly enough that we're not relying on Cisco for primary minutes at backup SF. Because boy, did his game fall off a cliff last year.
I thought Cisco would be a nice veteran leader, but his was disappointing last season. He failed to 1) hold Harden accountable for his defense, 2) hold Jeremy Lin accountable for his turnovers, and 3) hold Kevin McHale accountable for holding Harden accountable. Maybe it is an issue of injury. I hope he has rested sufficiently this summer while working hard on his accountability skills.
