Child services should take away the 13yr old from its parents for allowing the kid to be present during the cursing

While I don't necessarily agree with ticketing cursing, it has become a problem. There are very few places you can go today with kids that you aren't going to have them subjected to a barrage of swear words.

I remember back in the day, when I was a kid, my Dad took my sister and I to an Astros game. There were two guys right behind us who were letting the curse words fly after a few beers. My Dad, after a little while, turned around and said "Can you guys tone it down a little? I have my kids with me."

The two guys apologized and it was not a problem again. Fast forward 30 years, the guys likely would have started doing it more and may have made dumb threats.

It has really gotten out of control.

We have lost some of our civility.

If a thirteen year old can't already deal with or understand curse words and most basic sexual slang, then CPS probably should take them; cause they're either emotionally stunted or just deaf.

    Here's a better question.

Why are curse words considered taboo?

I guess all of you "against" the ticketing to regulate offensive language in front of minors are OK with people doing that in front of YOUR kids? Do you even HAVE kids? I hope you all "against" this ticketing stuff don't limit yourselves to the "S" this and "F" that and "S*ck my b*g _____ stuff" (name that movie) and use somewhat of a more extensive vocabulary instead of using only those words.

Yeah. I have four kids (though the oldest one is 20, so, you know...). If I'm ever at a place where someone is cursing so loudly as to make some big spectacle, it's far more likely that I would just leave.

But if it's just some sentence enhancers thrown into a conversation, it would be difficult to figure out a way for me to care.

KG would've received a record amount in fines if this law was being applied anywhere near Boston's bench...Lol.

I curse like a sailor for the most part, but I have the ability to turn it off when I'm around polite company.

Some people are just poorly disciplined.

Interesting question IMO. It must be tied to the same reason we don't have sex publicly or walk around nude all the time, I don't know..

    Any logical answers?
